I bought this to use on a new Canon R50. I have several legacy lenses from my Canon digital EOS cameras going back to 2003.Set up for control ring for aperture was easy.Focus stacking works with all lenses listed and tried so far.Auto focus is better and faster on all lenses than on my last Canon 60D - and that is saying a lot because that camera focused all my EOS mount lenses quite fast and accurately.(NOTE: I have an EOS to Micro 4/3 adapter from YKEASU for my OLYMPUS cameras and several of the below lenses don't function on my Olympus cameras (OMd-M1 mark II and M10 mark II Others, such as the Canon 400mm f5.6 focus well in better contrast scenes, but nowhere near as good as on an EOS body)Lenses I tried on the Canon R50. All functioned better than on my EOS Canons, even in low contrast scenes in very low light at dusk in shadow.Canon 50mm f1.8Canon 18-55 f3.5-5.6 (tried both the normal one and the one with IS)Canon 135 f2Canon 135 f2 with Canon 1.4xCanon 400 f5.6Tamron 90mm SP f2.8 macro ( just hunts on Sony A7RII (with Sigma adpater) and Olympus M1 Mark II, so a huge difference)Tokina 12-24mm f4Sigma 14-24mm f2.8 (works far better and quicker lock than on the Sony A7RII that I bought it for, along with the Sigma MC-11 - At the time I bought the Sigma, it wasn't available in Sony E mount. All EOS mount lenses mount as they should. The mount of the adapter to the R50 is slightly tight, but not overly so. Still, I consider this perfect for someone wanting to use EOS lenses with the R body. One thing that surprised me was that every lens I mounted on the R50 with this adapter can be used properly with the focus stacking feature. Your experience with vary depending upon how stilled you are with using focus stacking. I have been using it for a couple years on the Olympus cameras, and longer with focus bracketing. With Olympus, only certain lenses, all Olympus lenses, can make use of either focus stacking in the camera, or focus bracketing for compilation in a image editing program, such as Affinity Photo. But focus stacking on the Canon R50 works with any lens, so I have made good use of it so far with the Tamron 90mm macro. What is more interesting is that it even works with my 400mm f5.6 to get mid-near subjects (20-50 ft) in focus with distant subjects. A tip is that you really have to set the spacing wide to accomplish this. This adapter is a far better deal than the Canon adapter at twice the price. The control ring makes up for the lack of two dials to control aperture and shutter speed on several of the R series bodies. The Control ring is also quite natural to use for aperture because those of us who have used manual lenses are used to working with an aperture ring on the lens.yes, I recommend this adapter for the EOS lenses to Canon R bodies, at least with use on the R50.

I bought a Canon R6 mkii but was not ready to upgrade my lenses too. This adapter works well so far and I haven’t noticed any issues. Adds a little extra length but not much.Accepts my L series lens with no issues. I even have a 2x mkiii extender that I use on my 100-400 ii and when attached to this adapter, the setup works better than it did on my old ES mount camera. The control ring is recognized by the camera and allows programming for your desired function. I chose to set it to aperture control which frees up a camera button for other tasks.I recommend this for someone looking for an option to get the most out of their new R camera with their older ES lenses.

I recently upgraded from a Canon T1i to a Canon R6 because of a short term dip in prices. I got the R6 and the kit lens 'used' for less than the body new. Meanwhile, I had four EF lenses that I didn't want to conscript to the graveyard with my 14 year old T1I. Thus, the adapter.I was skeptical when I bought mine, but I'm a cheapskate. The Canon branded adapter cost US$200 while this slashed that in half (now you can get in for $50). The reviews came in mixed, but I decided to take the plunge, and this adapter did not disappoint. The adapter fit snug. Attached lenses also fit snug and the combination of adapter and lens didn't have any shake or rattle due to the combined pieces (though the photographer may have had some shaking and rattling in his body ;-).Anyway, this piece seems to have halved its price again, down to $50. At this price, it's a bargain. Snap it up before the photography community figures this out.

This EF to RF mount works like a charm with my Canon R8 and EF 24-70. The control ring is an added luxury that programs to the camera settings just like the Canon version. It is not as smooth as the Canon control rings on other RF mounts, considering it clicks to indicate moving through settings, but works just as well, if not better if you appreciate the tactile movement of the clicks. At $100 cheaper than the canon version, I find this to be an economical option that is fully compatible with Canon.

Worked great at first, then after 3 months the control ring quit communicating with the camera, now after 1 month later, the lens autofocus quit working.I tried all 3 of my Canon prime lenses on another camera and they work flawlessly. Now I’m back in business with a different brand adapter.
