This is not really a bad angle grinder. By far the biggest problem is is that there is only the tiniest gob of grease in the main gear box. I have several angle grinders, so I know what is supposed to be in there. They're supposed to be quite a bit. I would say this has about a quarter of a teaspoon and there should be like a tablespoon or more. Anyway the reason I take it apart and looked at it is that it seemed kind of loud and growly when I first took it out of the box and was trying it out. Anyway if you get this angle grinder, be sure and take the main spindle out and put grease on the gears. There are four screws to take out, shouldn't take more than about 5 minutes, very simple. The problem is if you don't do that the lifespan of this angle grinder is going to be very short. I took one star off for that. The speed is overly hyped, I got 7000 RPM with my meter. This is using a freshly charged six ampere hour battery. The side of the angle grinder lists 8000 RPM. The advertising lists up to 12,000. I guess that's technically true because 7,000 is definitely less than 12,000. 1/2 star off for that. It also doesn't have a knuckle guard, most angle grinders these days do and I think it's a helpful safety item. It's a bit overpriced, currently $70 on Amazon, there are many nearly identical brushless battery powered angle grinders on Amazon for $50 or so.

If I used an angle grinder a whole bunch, I would definitely pop for a name brand. This one works fine. It has multiple speeds. It is pretty light, but doesn't feel cheap. (it is much lighter than my 35 year old Makita grinder.)There is some play in the spindle, but I think I have noticed that in other grinders. It also doesn't sound like a finely tuned electric motor, but I don't expect a low priced knock off to be any better than this one is.It is much lighter in hand than my old plug in grinder. It is much more comfortable to use. I have only had it for a few days, so I can speak to its longevity. Since I don't use a grinder very often, I am not worried about it lasting.
