I never knew cordless electric pruning shears existed and when I saw this there weren't any reviews yet but I went ahead and ordered for the following 4 reasons:1. The hand held clippers I have only cut small vines and they often pinch my hand2. I just planted over a dozen trees that will need pruning.3. I'm getting old.4. similar pruners had good reviews.When the clippers arrived, I tested them out to see if I had made a good choice. The clippers are explained to cut branches of 30mm which I had to translate into 1 3/16th of an inch. It irks me that measurements are no longer offered in inches but that is my grievance . Anyway If that is true, these clipper should cut branches four times bigger than my handheld clippers with complete ease. And mind you, my clippers worked only on green vines, not hardened branches.I know you are waiting to find out if these electric clippers were able to accomplish one inch cuts and to my surprise, they were! I am completely amazed. I wanted to run around cutting everything in sight! But of course I didn't. I did have some very thick branches to cut and these worked so nicely on a big shrub that attracts all the disgusting insects of the town. I never was able to trim this eyesore until now. Know that I am not a gardener or experienced person, just a gal that needed to upgrade her silly hand held clippers.The clippers were so easy to use as well. I just opened the box, plugged the battery in for a while, then slid it in and pressed power. Nothing to it. I will probably never need the extra battery but it will be nice to always have an extra charged andeady. The clippers are in the open position so when you press the trigger they close and will snip a one inch branch with ease. Great purchase, much thanks.
