I haven’t had the Deackimei soldering station for very long, but so far, I’m absolutely impressed! I used it for about 3 hours straight to solder antenna cables, and it worked flawlessly the entire time. The best part? It barely made a dent in my Milwaukee M18 battery. The portability and power are game-changers for me, especially since I don’t need to worry about being tethered to a power outlet. The temperature control is precise, and the station heats up quickly, so I didn’t waste any time waiting for it to be ready.Even if it doesn’t last forever, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy it again. For the price and convenience, this soldering station is a must-have for anyone working in the field or looking for a reliable, battery-powered option. Highly recommend!

I buy a lot of gadgets and don’t typically leave reviews but I just have to comment on how much I like this soldering iron! Feels well made and functions flawlessly. I’ve been using Weller irons from the big box stores and assumed that I wasn’t missing out on much when it comes to soldering irons but I couldn’t have been more wrong. The features this iron has are outstanding, here are a few of the significant ones for me: extremely fast heat up, powerful enough to maintain heat through heavy soldering tasks, accurate temperature control and display, full featured display including voltage readout, low voltage cutout, motion sensor for automatic sleep and wake, etc… it goes on and on.

I bought this because I'd heard pretty bad things about Milwaukee's official M12 iron, and honestly I'm shocked that it is as good as it is. It gets up to temp super fast, the live readout is super helpful, the heat is controllable by a knob and is very responsive. Batteries last a long time using it, and best of all, it's cheap. The build construction doesn't feel as durable as a real Milwaukee product, but it is at the end of the day not one, and not trying to be one. It does its job well and I have no complaints.

Short of it........ I really like this iron.Read on if you want to learn more and have a cup of coffee.....First the only 3 negatives I can find about it (IMHO).....1)The tip, ,the blade tip, WTF.. great for SMD rework, but not general soldering.Had to buy a $24 kit to get a general use tip. Thankfully they showed the tip in the listing, so I knew I had to order a set with a tip good for my needs. So many choices, easily found a set that would deliver at the same time of the iron.2) real minor, the solder that comes with it SUX... don't use it. Tried it, was like this iron sux. After a few joints said,,, maybe the solder... went to my trusty roll of kesters, and yea, threw out the roll that came with the iron.To the OEM or distributor/reseller packing the solder roll with the iron... stop, don't , it can give your iron a bad name to the less familiar.Throw in a 2nd tip, or a sponge holder and sponge instead... the solder is liability.3)No place to hold a sponge. see above.....Ok, to the GREAT stuff...Crap, love this iron.Been living with the standard of the military and high end for electronics manufacturing for 45ys now, a weller station with mag control tips. And have owned my own for 40ys.I really found this station to work great during my 5hrs with it this afternoon.I was once weapons spec qualified for soldering. I spent 20ys on the bench as a EE building and testing breadboards and proto from my designs. Next 20 starting/running/ companies and consulting.Ran contract manufacturing companies. But never stopped tinkering. The holder that is on the side is solid. But for me, want the battery and controller out to the side, and pencil out front. So bought a nice heavy holder with a large sponge. IF they sold something that the battery sat on, with a sponge holder, that would be great.Again, toss the solder, include a useful weighted or captures sponge holder. To the OEM, contact me, will give you a link to the best stand alone pencil / sponge holder.Price, damn great iron for the price +++++. The cheaper ones (not that this isnt a great price point) in this niche don't have all the feature this has... boost, adjust-ability for all the settings, and setting the low battery cut off, I hate buttons, fine with knobs.. one of the reasons this was my choice.I'm a EE and have specialized in power conversion and battery charging. I understand how the Milwaukee does their management. This iron doesn't do it the same, so I set the cut off a little higher to be nice to my packs. Did I tell ya I like the adjust-ability .... ok maybe I'm a control freak.Built well. Some say it's 3D printed, mine is not. To me the case is injected molded and feels well made. Injection molding (or any molding process) can be done worse than 3d printing.. so it really depends on the final product, not the process. And depends on the material used, again, not the process. With all being equal. Some other reviewer saying they are a EE, said it was a negative just cause it's 3d printed and the sun and all.. well there are resins used in 3d printing that are highly UV resistance, just molding resins.. so again, not the process but materials and end product.Mine seems to be injection molded, 2 halves and feels solid.I have no Idea if it's UV resistant. But it's used indoors, so no issues for me.Very very quick warm up from short term sleep mode or deep sleep mode. And both adjustable if you want to change how long it takes to go to sleep. I'm using all the default timing settings. Works great for me.I'm running the iron at just below 700degF. I use 650 or 750 well mag tips.Seems the wake up sensor is in the handle (can also set it for only front knob push for wake up, or both, default is both, I'm using the default, and depending on sensor in the pencil), and if VERY quick to respond and come out of sleep. So no matter if you used the included holder on the controller , or one of your own choosing, the wake function works excellent !The same reviewer picking on the 3d case, also picked on the tip used. As if it was a 1 off. If they were deep into soldering and processes.. they would know it's a T12 tip... EXTREMELY common. Not like the unique weller mag control tips I've been using for 45ys... only weller sells them. T12 was designed by Hakko (IIRC), and adopted by many many others. It's a cartridge with the heater, sensors, and tip build in. So your just not replacing a tip, but the heater and sensors as well . Very well made, T12 is made by a bunch of sources. Easier to get than my weller tips. MetCal makes similar type of cartridge, and it's been adopted by others, but the T12 is far more ubiquitous. So TONs of choices and sources on the "tip" (really a cartridge). NO fear on the "tips". The T12 design is the reason for the outstanding quick heat up. I've used MetCal as well as weller, and this is on par with MetCal warm up and blows away weller and other similar tip designs as weller mag controller or short non-cartridge tips.I have been working on a test set, and some control electronics for it and another project. Two different benches, and been moving my trusted weller between benches, and almost dropped it. It's my live blood at this point. So fear drove me to buying this for the "2nd" bench. I have a bunch of 5-12Ah Milwaukee M18 batteries. So pulled the trigger.Just spent 5hrs today one the chassis of the test set, using the iron all that time. In and out of sleep mode.On the 5A/H M18 battery, only used 1 bar... ~25% of the battery. Amazon.I have a Milwaukee m12 pencil, would have chewed thru a couple of M12's, and waiting for it, cause I would have turned it off in between needing it , while building and wiring. So most like gonna buy another for my travel tool kit.PS,, I know, another one of my long reviews. But I spent a few years watching and wanting one of these. But couldn't justify it till nearly dropped my trusted weller, and my day of billable work passed before my eyes. Before I purchased, spent a lot of time looking at the choices and reading reviews. Many of the reviews are good, some are off base IMHO ( decided as such before I purchased)(and feel I was right now that I have one).I'm a fan of this iron based on the work I did today on the bench.Longevity.. time will tell. It's has very large shoes to fill.... my personal 40yo weller that is still working.

This is the most convenient soldering station I have ever tried. The name brand one is a one-piece that sticks on an M12 battery, and I find it bulky and crude. This soldering station sits on top of my M18 battery and has an actual temperature control, as well as many other amazing features I have just started to get used to. The battery saver actually works, and it reheats to the set temperature automatically just by picking up the iron. The auto power off also is nice, and the timers are selectable, so you can tailor it to the type of work you are doing.I have already recommended this to about 10 other people that use soldering irons in the field.

Very convenient for field work, would've kept it if the backlight didn't quit.
