Much easier than the digital one prong thermometer. And the handle is long so you don't get scorched by the outdoor grill trying to get a reading. Only complaint, and it is small, a bit obtuse how to turn on and off. The 3 second hold button. I had to actually read the instructions to figure it out - not something I'd expect with something this trivial to operate.

I love this fork thermometer. I like the fact I can choose what type of meat I want and also rare, med rare, well done...It works quickly. This is the third one I have bought. Plus, it lasts forever. Just replace the battery in it.

SO FAR SO GOOD. ALTHOUGH, MY OLD ONE WAS A MAVERICK BRAND WHICH ALLOWED REMOVING THE FORK FROM THE BASE FOR CLEANING WITH NO WORRIES ABOUT GETTING IT WET

i had exact same one that broke after 15 years so im hoping this one will last just as long if not longerit is great for not just getting temperature of meat but bread and cheesecake i love that it is digital

This temperature fork is almost unusable because it is so slow in reading the temperature. My hand was getting hot because it took 2-3 minutes to read from the air temp of 79 degrees when inserted up to 160 degrees on some chicken. Also, the light on the readout screen is worthless, because it only stays on a few seconds, then when you push the button to turn it on again, it changes the meat settings. Not easy to use and not worth the (or any) money.

I love the idea, but it does not work because you need to hold the fork over high heat while the temperature slowly climbs.
