Zyex Composite synthetic core strings produce an extremely warm, rich sound. Zyex is a new generation of synthetic material, creating strings that are extremely stable under drastic climatic conditions. These are our go to strings now, they are great! As a violin teacher I recommend these. The sound is lovely. Once strings are replaced and properly set in the violin, they adjust in no time. Ready to play right away instead of waiting a week or so for the strings to stretch and keep its tuning. It sounds bright and keeps its tuning rather quickly. It may not last as long as other lower brands but the sound quality is worth it.

These turned out to be very good strings! They sound a bit bouncy and resonant, so not for you if you like a more mellow and subdued tone. My daughter's tone completely changed for the better after we replaced the stock strings her rental came with for these.The strings stretched in a couple of days whereas the strings on my own violin (Chromcors) took about a week to fully stretch.

good product - not top end, but even a violin mom newbee can hear the improvement over the cheap strings that come with most "student model" violins. Worth the added expense! good price fast shipping

These strings are very nice on my orchestral Violin. I like them better than the Dominants that I had on this instrument. Softer on the fingers. I tried them on my other violin/Fiddle that I play bluegrass on and did not like them as well are Dominants. Strings are always a hit and miss to find the perfect match.

I am a luthier and this has been my go-to string for new set-ups. Very lively and balanced tone. Has enough grit to the tone to satisfy folk styles, and very capable of nuanced or light playing. Seems to hold character over extended periods- up to a year. These are excellent for the price.

I am not an expert on string instruments. My daughter's teacher told us that we needed new strings. When we got these and put them on, the violin did sound nice. Then, we went to our lesson and the teacher raved about the sound. Now, she wants all of her students to get these strings!

These are good strings for the advancing student, but be wary. They do tend to break only a few months after installation. Usually, if you can't get a replacement for free, they are cheap enough individually to make it worth it.
