This is a solid quality tool. Comes with some drill bits and interchangeable guide bushings. Make sure you really crank down on the tool. You could get sone deflection if not. The product worked well for me in making floating shelves. I would recommend it.

This tool works very well but could be majorly improved:-- The tool has a center with the doweling guides and two left/right arms on springs. The instructions don't actually specify how to loosen/tighten the give and the initial tool wasn't centering accurately because of the play. There's a nut, spring, and ball assembly that controls the center plate that needs to be tightened.-- Has markings indicating centers of the holes but really needs markings for centering between holes to center two dowels instead of just one. Easy to scratch in a center mark but still inconvenient.

I've been using this for the past couple of weeks. When I received it, I was impressed with its sturdiness and workmanship, especially given its price. However, I quickly discovered two issues with it. First, the lines it has for lining up the jig to the work piece are difficult to see. You have to look through a little hole to see them, and they are not very bright especially when sawdust is present. They should have brighter lines and more of them. Second, my so-called "self centering" jig does not accurately self center. I have spent too much time fiddling with this thing to try to get it to live up to its description as self-centering.

Bought this to use in making several end table tops by doweling 2 x 4s together. Easy to use accurate in matching holes in each piece. The mark to center the dowel hole before drilling is very accurate.

Worked great for me. Marked the center of my board, aligned that line with the mark on the jig for the appropriate bit and drills a perfectly centered hole. Clamped to the board firmly as well. I will recommend this drill jig.

Made from strong materialsComes with good instructions and is very easy to useIt fits perfectly and makes repeating the same hole time after time a breezeI use to make floating shelving my latest was a 9foot long shelf and this worked perfectly
