Did you purchase or install a set of LED Turn signals and now you have hyper flash? You need a pair of these load resistors! These resistors are spliced in parallel with the LED bulb to add extra electrical load (power dissipation) to the circuit, thus reducing blinking speed to normal rates.
These are for turn signal blinker circuits ONLY.They are not designed to have current running through them for long periods of time, they will get EXTREMELY hot if you do so. On a 1960 Corvette I am restoring, one of the main problems with this old car is that the lights are not bright enough for safe driving. I decided to upgrade the light system to LEDs in the front and back. For the taillights, I went with a tail, brake, and turn signal LED light. With some LED lights, the turn signals will flash fast. If this occurs, then you need a load resister to slow down the blinking. This set of resisters worked as described. I added the resister inline with the blinker wire to each rear taillight. The fast blinking stopped.

I converted to LED blinkers. Of course this caused hyper flashing so I ordered these resistors to solve the hyper flashing problem. The resistors work great as a resistor and solve the hyper flash problem, however, the leads are way to short. Because the resistors generate a lot of heat they need to be attached to a heat sink (the body of the vehicle). With five inch leads this does not allow the resistor to be easily attached to the vehicle and then tapped into the wiring. I ended up adding six inch pigtails to each end of the resistors (8 pigtails total) so I could make these resistors work. The resistor leads should be at least 10 to 12 inches long instead of 5 inches long.

The last canbus decoders I installed on my vehicle were pretty small. They looked like these, so I thought these were the same ones. It turns out these are twice the size. The body itself in this DEVMO 4pcs Load Resistor set measures 2"x5/8"x5/8". I'm not sure how the size difference relates to performance, but I would think these dissipate heat more efficiently.These are 50W, 6 ohm resistors. Check your application to make sure these are right for you.

Purchased for my antique Model A - I needed these when I upgraded to led signal lights, these added enough of a load to slow down the blinker relay. Worked perfectly for my use. The aluminum casing is more than enough to keep them cool, and I appreciated the woven covering on the wires as they blend in better in an antique vehicle.
