This did get rid of the “lamp out†light on the dash but not at first. I originally installed them as instructed (between hot lead and ground on each bulb). It did not clear the light. I then installed them between the ground and the signal lead (that must check the bulbs). It did clear the light. All the lights work as they should. They did get very hot when connected as instructed.

I ordered these to fix a fast flashing too fast turn signal after switching over to LED bulbs. They worked great. Also used them to fix a flickering issue when switching over to LED headlights. They are a good quality resistor. The first thing you need to do after purchasing them is throw the scotch locks in the trash. NEVER USE SCOTCH LOCKS, EVER!!! Always solder connections and cover in heat shrink. If you can't do that, then at least use heat shrink butt connectors. ALSO, these are designed to get hot. To ensure the life of this resistor, mount it to a metal surface. The mounting holes are rather small and it may be difficult to find hardware to mount them. I drilled the hole in the resistor a little bit larger and it worked out just fine. The bottom line is, NEVER USE SCOTCH LOCKS EVER!!! The only good use for them is to fill a trash can.

These do the trick to eliminate hyper-flashing.. but they get super hot especially if you're using them on parking light/blinker combo setups. I ran 2 of them in parallel for the parking lights alone and they still got too warm for my taste, I really didn't want to risk setting my car on fire. Plus you're still using the same, if not MORE power to run LED's with resistors anyway. I took them out and spent the extra money on a blinker relay.Don't cheap out on the relay, get a Diode Dynamics SmartTap, or even better get the original TapTurn, support the original creator! I've heard that the original TapTurn works better and has more features but I have yet to explore it that much. Took some digging to find the TapTurn, but the SmartTap is on Prime. ~$60 is a small price to pay for the piece-of-mind of doing it right. Most Subaru's will need the cf18 type relay, but do your research first.

Great deal. You need one per turn signal if switching to LED lights. So if doing front and rear you need 4 total. Since it came with eight I went ahead and switched LED lights on 2 cars. Price was great compared to others only offering 2 maybe 4 resistors.Install is super easy. You just hook up one side to the positive wire that receives 12 volts when turn signal is on, and the other to the ground wire. Since LED lights don't have much resistance your turn signal will flash very fast if you do not use these. They add resistance and slow down the blink back to normal. The only downside is if you have a turn signal that goes out you may not know because the resistors will keep blink slow rather than flashing fast to let you know a bulb went out.Does not matter which side you put to positive, however some cars have 3 wires that lead up to the bulb rather than just 2. Go to your local Audio shop to have them installed if you are not electrically savvy with a 12volt system.

These things work great and I actually purchased an individual one from my local auto parts that cost me $12. when I compared the 2 they are identical down to the color and markings. that indicates to me they are the exact same product but yet I got 4 of them for a fraction of the cost. I installed them in about 5 minutes each. I would definitely recommend Securing them down somewhere safe and the vehicle away from any objects that can melt. These things do good extremely hot after just a few minutes.

I installed on 2011 Silverado 1500. Front has 4 turn/park bulbs and rear has 4 turn/brake/park. Installed to the turn. Used thermal compound and mounted them to the truck frame. You can turn on the turn signal and they work fine... but add parking lights and put your foot on the brake, you get about 10 seconds of use before hyperflash comes back. When they cool for a minute the hyperflash with only turn signal engaged goes away.It seems that they are overheating and then not puling their load at the rated resistance. When they cool, they work. If you own this year truck, you cannot replace the flash module as it is not available for this year. The only option is good, expensive bulbs or resistors. It would be nice to find 6Ohm capable of 100W without having to buy double and try and find places to mount so that the 6Ohm/50W can be connected in parallel.

Got these to fix the hyper flash on my 2001 F 150 after replacing my tail/turn/brake bulbs with LED lights. The install wasn't too hard once I figured out where they would fit clearance wise. I had a hard time getting the wire into the outer part of the red scotch lock, but that was probably because it was cold at the time. I secured the resisters with two metal screws in each one. The left side I missed on the hole alignment, so I got a screw with a bigger head and got it on the outside edge of the resister. I've only used two of them so far but plan on updating my F 350 and travel trailer rear lights in the future. I very pleased with the results, and I received them promptly.
