Perfect! It provides the level of security I was looking for as our other lock had broken and would be expensive to replace. I actually used a metal ring through the holes to attach a leash of sorts so that it was easy for my elderly mother to remove as well. Very simple to adjust the size for a perfect fit and takes mere minutes to get sized. It doesn't scratch glass or wood on the door, and so far is VERY sturdy. It's also light weight so easy to pick up or move.

My husband and I moved into a townhouse with a sliding door to exit into the back yard, and the door did not come with a bar to prevent it from being opened. I purchased this one and it works perfectly. It was very easy to assemble and adjust to the size of the opening. Once you tighten the lock nut (tools not included) it isn't going to move at all. One small issue I have is the safety pin falls out pretty easily, but it was also easy to fix with a couple zip ties. Overall, I can easily recommend this product.

This is all you hope for in a security bar -- adjustable, solid, easy to manage, and delivers the safety you want. The ring insert enable you to pick it up easily from the door frame. And it lays nicely along the outside of the frame when you want to open the sliding door all the way.

I lived in a interesting area of Austin that could be concerning at times. To feel safe, I had this on my sliding door and one for my front door. It added an extra layer of security, physically and mentally. I have now moved away from Austin to a safe little town, and it is still a great option to have. I have it on the ground so it can not be seen and it is not noticeable from the outside or an eye sore.

Great product. Solid construction, very easy to assemble and adjust. The adjustable nut on the threaded stopper end is fantastic to make those smaller adjustments to ensure a very snug fit free of wobble. Absolutely recommended.

I find it a better quality product. Although my neighborhood is pretty save so far but still this is certainly a good added protection. It looks definitely sturdy. Fits nicely without damaging the door frame. I read lots of comments about the safety pin falling over. That is easily preventable by keeping it facing top side and that's it. I would definitely recommend this product.
