I actually ordered this dog tracker by sotfkd for one of my cats. Personally, I don’t like my cats to be outside but this one cat has made it very clear that he is in charge and he is going to be outside when he wants to be. We have come to a compromise and he comes inside at night (mostly). I saw this tracker and was very excited to get it for him so I can keep an eye on him while he is on an adventure. I did not use the included collar as it is not a breakaway but do appreciate that it is included and has reflective little paws on it. There is a battery already installed in the tracker and it comes with a spare which is fantastic. You will need to remove a small plastic piece to get the battery to work and the tracker itself is also protected on the outside with two pieces of film. The tracker’s app was easy to install to my iPhone and it allowed me to name the tracker with my cat’s name. There was a little bit of a learning curve to using the app and the most confusing to me was when I looked at the app and saw that I had multiple cats on the screen! You can see three in my included photo. The instructions do not clarify what this is and so I thought the item was defective. After a couple of days I finally determined that each icon was a different time that my cat was in that specific location. And wow, my cat travels! I had really hoped that he was staying inside my fenced in yard but the little jerk is wandering across the street multiple times a day! I really hate this as I live on a busy street and have had multiple tragedies hit the community cats but again, he is going to get outside whether I let him or not. This tracker has really helped me keep tabs on him. I am still a bit confused as to the map in the app as the gray should seem to me to mean my house but has come to mean that he’s outside. I will figure that out though. Overall I highly recommend this item if you want to know where your pet is. I love that this is a one time price (currently $30) with no monthly fees. The price is fantastic for someone like me that wants to know where my rebellious cat is. I have also found that this is pretty durable. My cat likes to roll around in the dirt or on the pavement and the tracker is still working well (it’s only been about a week though). The outside of the tracker is a bit scratched up but it’s the interior gps that matters.My Amazon rating system-Five stars-As described. May have a minor problem. So I have a Jack Russell Terrier puppy that likes to re-enact Escape from Alcatraz Island whenever we open the front door. He has probably ran out the door at least 7 different times and is very sneaky about it (you don't know he's behind you when he goes into Tesla mode). This came nicely packaged with great instructions and a battery already loaded into the device. Just pull the tab out and this bad boy is ready to rock! They even included a spare battery in the package which is a nice touch! The jump ring is included, so you just need to put that on your collar and then attach the device to it. Unfortunately for me, my JRT still likes to chew on things and he couldn't resist this tag! I had to put a rubber band around it and the collar to hold it parallel with the collar so it isn't dangling in front of him like a tasty piece of string cheese. The app needs to be downloaded from the App store, but looks and operate very much like the FindMy app that comes on the Apple products. After you register the device in the app, you can change the name. I changed it to my dogs name and that is how it shows up on the map. If you are in the market for a device like this, I would highly suggest this one for its price and features.

The hardest part of this was getting the tag into the silicone sleeve (sold separately) to put on my pup's collar. Pro tip: use a hair dryer to soften the silicone.As for the tag? The whole setup was maybe 5 minutes, including downloading the app. There's very minimal information to type in, no "gotcha" hidden fees, and it comes with an extra battery. It's essentially a geolocator.

This dog tracker/ gps tracker is fantastic! I ordered it for my dad’s pup 🐶 Jasper. It was easy to set up the app. He brought Jasper to my house as he had an appointment. While my dad was at his appointment, he tested it to track location of Jasper. It showed my exact address with a picture of my house. This is amazing! It makes us feel more secure in case anything should happen. Although Jasper is chipped, unless someone brings him to a vet, there’s no way of knowing his location I think every pet parent should have this and save themselves the heartache and stress of a missing fur baby. I 💯 percent recommend! It’s an extremely reasonable price as well. Worth every penny!!
