DRUMSTICK DAMPERS! What a grand idea for players in rooms smaller than a stadium! They work very well, are durable, provide excellent subdued sound support when a drummer needs it, and they're a great fit.

Got these for the rock band game. Does the trick, but doesn't muffle 100%. Good enough for an off label use.

These work as described. They allow one to practice rudiments, warm up, on any hard surface. There are no instructions. I tried to put the black ones on 7A (thinner) drum sticks and they were too loose. I put them on 5Bs (thicker) and they fit snugly. The red ones fit okay on 7As. There is still some noise, but they are still quieter than my old, hard rubber practice pad.

Look. Can you use them when a drum pad isn’t available, yes.But these don’t dampen a thing on a drum. In fact, they make a tom sound like a tympani.
