I’ve never used higher end brands of this type of tool so I can’t really compare to them. It works great for sanding new drywall. When hooked to a good shop vac it captures most of the dust. I actually purchased for sanding off old popcorn ceiling texture and it does work for that but it’s a workout. While doing this I pushed too hard and broke a plastic latch where the handles connect. My fault, I was getting after it and pushing too hard. This was about 2 months after I purchased. I emailed the company and asked where I could order replacement parts. They immediately sent me another entire sander t no cost to me. I never even asked for that but it is very much appreciated and unexpected. My only complaint about the actual tool itself is that a static charge builds up so much while sanding that I actually started wearing rubber gloves because it was shocking me hard enough and often enough to bug me. Again, this is the only drywall sander I’ve ever used so I do not know if that is a common problem with this type of tool or not, but I would bet that a nicer, more well known brand would have better insulating to avoid this problem. Very satisfied and would definitely order from them again.

I thought I paid for new unused tool. What I received was a used sheetrock dust covered tool with all of the parts packaging opened. The dust bag had sheetrock dust in it. No manual so I can't tell if parts are missing.

Although the power switch on the unit I received was broken, I was able to repair it. The fit and finish of everything else is solid. Good drive motor assembly. Using the tool, I agree that the weight is more than I’d like. But I’m an old guy and handled it ok. The extension capability is nicely designed. Vacuum collection of joint compound dust was fairly good except for leakage around hose end collars. But the nimrod that designed the collection bag should be shown the door - or better - shown how to do a better job. Putting the opening to empty the bag in the middle is SILLY. The plastic clip has nearly worn through the material despite my having sanded and polished both ends. The correct design would be to use a longer clip of the same design ON ONE END OF THE BAG. Also, as seen on one YouTube video, the hose can be connected to a vacuum instead of the bag for even more effective dust collection. I’d have given this tool 5 stars if not for the poorly designed dust collection bag. Still, it was worth the money.

This sander performs excellent. It took down some popcorn ceiling with ease. Not only is the sander excellent the customer service provided by the seller was also excellent and far above anything I expected.

This item probably works best on new wall construction, where the walls are new and for the most part flat level. My use was in the overhead and for a modified wall area. Very difficult to hold overhead for extended periods of time. I did not find adapters for connection to my Craftsman or Rigid shop vacs, which in the case of this tool, I attempted to use the dust collection back. There really is not enough suction generated from the head sanding unit to draw dust into the dust collection bag. I liked the lighted head, but this thing will wear you out for an extended overhead use.

I did the entire house with this sander . I am not a pro mater a fact I did not even know how to finish drywall. This made getting the wall flat and seams finished so you can’t even see them . Clean up was easy because you control the dust . Love this product !!

Mudding a 5000 sq ft house. This unit saves a lot of sanding time as well as vacuuming up the dust. Great labor savings!
