After my saw got bound in a cut because of my stupidity, I found that the solid metal rectangle on the adjusting base had sheared off. Fearing that I'd also damaged the bar, I wanted to replace the bar and the adjusting base. It' not easy finding a replacement adjusting base, and Lowe's sold replacement bars without the adjusting base. Fortunately I found this one that's the whole package and now my saw in back in service.
