Installation went well and once I figured out the Ambient Light Sensor Sensitivity and Sound Sensor Sensitivity settings I put in were too close together the light works well. With the original settings I put in the light would never shut itself off. So I widened the settings and boom! It works so great. I installed in a walk-in closet. Lights as I enter the door and shuts itself off shortly after I leave. I love not having to worry about shutting off the closet light.

Works really well! I do wish the response time was a little faster but it's not a problem. If I need light sooner than 2 seconds into the room, I just hit the button. What I don't get is, even after having it fully set up, after a power outage or if I cycle the circuit breaker, it doesn't seem to operate again until it can attempt to connect to the wifi. Not a big deal, just inconvenient and seemingly unnecessary.

For me, the motion detection only works about half of the time and the sounds pretty much doesn't work. Another 25% of the time, it takes way too long to detect someone walking around. The rest of the time, it turns on randomly when there is no motion or sound. I have messed with the settings quite a bit, but have not been able to get it working properly on a regular basis. Also seems to have gotten worse over time as well...maybe as we've transitioned from winter to summer or something.Another annoying thing for me is getting it to stay on when you're out of the motion detection area without having to use the app to stop and start motion detection. In my opinion, I should be able to tell Alexa to turn it on for 20 minutes and have it stay on for that duration regardless of motion not being detected. Hopefully I will be able to find a more functional product.

These work well, look very sleek, and do operate (once you get it figured out). The App interface is not exactly intuitive... There are lots of options and lots of parameters for the options but the parameters are obtuse.. For Instance there are ambient light settings for "DARK" "DIM" & "BRIGHT" (how dim, dark or bright the environment needs to be when the light will be activated or deactivated) there are sliders from "0" to "100" and no way of telling if 100% means 100% dim or 100% light.. or if zero is 0% dark or 100% light.. Just basic, user interface problems because the user interface isn't very intuitive or well laid out... After about three weeks of trial and error, I got one of them to work exactly how I wanted to, and I wanted the other one right next to it to do the same thing, unfortunately I couldn't get the other to do it. I ended up going and copying every parameter and that seems to work but, there should be an option for being able to set one master parameter, and having other switches copy those settings? I don't know, it works, it just took about three weeks to get figured out and I'm a technical person.....Too bad with all the money they saved on the lame AI they couldn't come up with a better looking transparent material for the sensor window. Everything's sleek and Black and they just kept this generic beige blob for the sensors....

The installation process for the ELEGRP Smart Motion Sensor Switch Light Switch follows a fairly standard approach for smart switches. One important requirement is that you need a neutral wire available to provide constant power, which is necessary for the smart features to function properly. Once the switch is installed and connected to the app, you gain an impressive level of control. I particularly appreciate the ability to create customized schedules—a significant improvement over a basic sensor switch
