Despite being a huge Elixir fan, I was hesitant to try these strings due to the "warm" tone description. I generally like the modern, bright guitar sound and I thought they would be too bassy at the low end. Well, no need to worry, they do indeed have a sense of warmth (which is great sounding), but also plenty of brightness. In short, nicely balanced to my ear. The only difference I note from Elixir Nanowebs is the volume may be a bit less, but I would not call the sound muted like some others have described it. These pair perfectly with my Taylor Big Baby giving it a nice bright sound. The added warmth balances things, so my guitar is not tinny sounding. It sounds great. Finally, I love the "extra light" gauge. It makes the guitar a breeze to play without sacrificing sound (maybe a little volume). These strings are fantastic.

If you're reading this, chances are you know about Scott Grove, the YouTube guitar instructor and opinionated ranter. Some love him, some hate him, and I don't care either way -- I take what's useful and leave the rest. Well, ol' Scott says these are the ONLY decent guitar strings on the market, which is a pretty strong claim, so I decided they were worth a try, and I'd decide for myself.I can't honestly say these are the only good strings on the market. I've used other good ones, and I've particularly liked D'addario Phosphor Bronze. But dang, these are really good strings. Grove likes them because he says his corrosive sweat destroys other strings in a matter of hours, or sooner, while these never need changing no matter how sweaty his gigs are. Well, I'll take his word on that, but I'm not a gigging guitarist, nor am I particularly sweaty. I just like these because they have a bright, full sound, they stay in tune like nobody's damn business, they minimize string noise, they feel great under my fingertips... and I hate, hate, hate changing strings. I'm going to keep these things on my Washburn EA20 for the foreseeable future, and if Grove is right, they may last for years. If that's true, I'll be an even happier camper. If not, well, I'm loving these anyway. I don't see any down side, except that they cost a few bucks more, but I'm glad to pay that if I get even double the string life, let alone the near-eternal string life that the very excitable Grove suggests.Oh, and if you haven't seen his video (and/or don't like his verbose and "unusual" style), he claims that Elixir Nanowebs are horrible, and only the Polywebs are any good. I can't vouch for that, but I can tell you that in this particular case, he was right about the Polywebs. My advice as always is to listen to everyone, take it all with a grain of salt, and decide what's best for your own fingers and your own sound.

I have been using these Elixer guitar strings for a few years now. I like the bright sound they produce and I have never owned strings that last so long. They seem completely immune to going dead! They sometimes seem to take just a little longer to stretch and stabilize but then you can forget about them for such a long time.

They tend to last once you get them on and worn in, but I've had two .10 gauge pop on me while putting them on. They hold their brightness for a good amount of time with heavy playing.

Antirust as the name suggests. They live up to their name. Go for it if you have the budget. Value for money.
