I did it! I’ve never made bread before but received a bread machine and this special baguette pan for Christmas. I used the French bread recipe that was included in my machine and removed the dough when the paddle remove signal turned on. I was worried about sticking from reviews, so I buttered and floured each slot generously before placing my rolled out dough into the pan. Once in, I covered and let the dough rest 30 minutes before placing into my 450 degree oven. Before baking, I brushed each baguette with water and tried to score the dough (which was my biggest issue and something I need to improve). Removed the lid for the last 5 minutes to achieve a nicely brown top. While my baguettes are not the best yet, they were pretty darn great for my first attempt. Crunchy on the outside, chewy and soft on the inside.As for the pan itself. I had wanted the red but it wouldn’t have arrived in time, so my family ordered the charcoal. Turns out I love love the charcoal. It looks like a piece of art and exudes a high quality kitchen piece that I hope will last for years. I love it so much that I just purchased the matching smaller bread loaf in the same color.

I ordered 1 for Christmas for my son in law. It arrived broken. I ordered a replacement and it was broken.

I love this pan !!! I've been making dutch oven bread for years and recently switched to the Emile Henry potato pot for round loaves. I was about to buy a second one when I happened upon this baguette pan , and I'm so glad I did ! Finally I can make baguettes reminiscent of the dutch oven bread that everyone loves so much.The pic I attached is of the Emile Henry potato pot loaf next to the baguettes of this panIf you oil and flour the pan sticking isn't a thing so in not sure what all the other reviewers complained about. User error and definatelt not a product error.The included recipe book I tossed aside as other reviewers also mentioned. The king Arthur recipe is delicious, I've tried both the king Arthur simple baguette that mentions this pan. I've also tried the king Arthur regular dutch oven bread recipe that makes a large quantity to store in the fridge, with this pan and that way I can make a thicker baguette.

My wife got this for me at Christmas. It makes the baguettes turn out much better because it keeps in the steam. I do like the size even. Nice long sandwich for two as a EU style picnic. Even makes the cool round bottom you see on baguettes in Europe.

Love this baker, and have one already, order through Amazon, and it's great. Ordered 2 more for other people. They arrived yesterday, both arrived broken (the base part). They were not adequately packed -they were just in an amazon box with no padding around the product box. Granted the baker is packed in a box, but really, it needs some cushioning in the shipping box, and had none. This is an Amazon issue, no fault of the product. To Amazon's credit, they accepted the return without problem. So if you're willing to try more than once, you'll enjoy the product once you get one that's not broken.

I'm sure this is a good product, but Amazon ships it with no protection so both the original and replacement arrived broken.

The bakers works beautifully, creating crispy baguettes with a lovely, chewy center, especially if you use artisanal flour. The only reason I did not give this 5 stars is because of the horrible recipe books included with the baker.Amounts/measurements were definitely "lost in translation" - for example, referring to a cup of water that is 7 ounces instead of 8. If you want to follow their instructions properly, use a household scale referring to the original French measurements, otherwise you'll end up with a sticky, useless dough.There's a good recipe over at the King Arthur Flour site that is meant to be used with this baker - and gives much better results than the translated mess in the book. A quick search of the Internet revealed a lot of issues with the accompanying book and some darn good fixes.Surf before using and you won't be disappointed.

This is a wonderful addition to my bread making pans. I’ve been making round loaves and really felt like I’d like to make baguettes. Many choices were available and I definitely chose the correct one. The bread cooked evenly and the washing was almost non-existent. I highly recommend it.

Great item, if somewhat expensive, for baking homemade baguettes. The 3 baguettes are a little shorter than commercial, only 15â€, but any longer wouldn’t fit in a standard home oven. EDIT: 1 year later, still 5 stars, still highly recommended, still too expensive, still worth it.

Excellent for proving and baking. The baking times need some checking. I use 30 mins with lid on 10 mins lid off 190-200 deg fan oven. Rubbing oil on inside before adding rice flour makes it non stick
