This kit has a lot more items than I'll ever use. But the price is still very low. I have two of these sockets still in use after months, and a few others I utilize for their flexibility in being able to extract/re-insert chips. They work great as far as I have seen. There are no issues with loss of conductivity. I do not move chips on a regular basis, but I would not anticipate a problem with that.

First off, this is an inexpensive bulk package, you get what you pay for. What you get is a large assortment of IC sockets in a cheap plastic container. They are lose in separated compartments. This leads to bent and broken pins. Bent pins are an easy fix, broken not so much. You get a lot of each piece so unless you need the listen number you will be fine. Mine had 3 broken pieces out of 150, not bad for cheap Amazon components. If this is for production or something you sell, order off mouser or something like that. if it's for your hobby, you can't beat the price/quantity. Enjoy, have fun and make something cool.

I needed two different sized IC sockets. It was cheaper for me to order a kit than to order two separate individual socket sizes. Nice little kit in a plastic box.

Does the job nicely , however need 2 inspect after part is installed as should be the case with ANY repair in this world we live in today ...so in a nutshell very good !

Tried to use it on a breadboard for grins and giggles. Likely not meant for breadboard usage -- but for what it's worth, don't get this if you think it will stay in a breadboard slot. It squeezes out. Like others say, the pins are pretty short. Works fine on PCB soldering though.

There's also some risk that during re-bending the pins prior to usage might snap the pins.
