Does not fit Moen 1224 faucet cartridge. Not even close. Useless for intended purpose.

I needed to replace three 1224 Moen cartridges on three Moen Kingston bathroom faucets. This tool is required to back out the cartridge holder. Super simple. There are other Moen faucets that require this tool as well.

This did not work at all. Ended up using pliers and pipe wrench to remove the piece.

Works ok but eventually strips the cartridge lock nut it’s designed for.
