I placed mine on the two feeds inside the fusebox before the mains to reduce any unwanted noise, both incoming and outgoing.

I needed this because every time I keyed up my hand held Ham radio, my paper shredder would start up, and sometimes not stop until I went and turned it off and back on. The shredder cord was working as an antenna. So one of these with two wraps around the core, and the problem is gone.

My Ham shack is also my computer room. I was getting terrible RFI on transmit on the PC speakers for my two computers. I added these cores to the audio lines of both PCs. Installed with 3 turns on the audio going into the amplifier. Over 95% of the RFI is gone when transmitting. I'll but more if I find other problems.

I got about 65 of these in various sizes, put them on just about every audio, power, and USB cable in my studio, sometimes several on one cable. Along with power conditioners and isolated power supplies, and there's still an overwhelming amount of noise.

Works great, just be certain to get 2-3 wraps of your power cord on the ferrite core. Also place the core closest to your end plug. This turned a buzzing tiny little tube amplifier for my guitar into a much nicer clean practice option for me.
