How to prevent drill bit breakage

Masonry Drill Bits For Hard Tile

· Reduce the feed pressure and increase the cutting speed appropriately.

· Reduce the feed pressure when the drill is about to penetrate.

· Add water and select the speed 2000-2700 rpm according to the hardness of the tile.

· When dry drilling with cobalt-containing drills, the drilling speed should be 500 rpm. If the drill bit becomes stuck or turns red, it must be cooled with water.

NOTICE:

  • When dry drilling, the rilling speed should be 400-600 rpm for the better effect; If the carbide tip temperature is too high during drilling, you can stop drilling and wait for cooling or put it into water, and then use it again to achieve better effect.
  • When drilling with water, the speed should be 2000-2700 rpm for the better effect.
  • Water must be added when drilling glass, and the speed of 2500- 2700 rpm is optimal. Apply even force during drilling. Pay attention to protection and ensure safety during use.

I use these bits for a variety of tasks and so far they are working as intended and are a good value. The various sized bits help to drill through quartz counter top, quartz and ceramic bathroom panel material with ease. Shower doors and grab bars require multiple holes to be drilled for the anchors and so far these have stood up to the test. The bits look nice and seem durable too. Time and use will tell.

These bits eat through concrete and concrete block with using a regular drill. Been so used to getting out the hammer drill and bit for drilling into the masonry in my studio but these replace all of that. Drill the hole and then set the screw. EZ!

They break easily on concrete, not apt for even a regular and occasional work

Don’t use the smallest two without letting them cool down…they will break!! Besides that they do a decent job with a regular drill

Wear out fast 3 or 4 holes. But at least work.

Really helped me drill through brick to mount a landscaping transformer. It’s not easy work but these make the end result possible.
