I bought these for gifts for my sons. They were very pleased. They look strong for a small type vise, and seem to be well made. But only time will tell. I have a larger and different brand vise that I frequently use. I will say that the boxes these came in were destroyed. They were shredded, tapped to the heavens and shredded again. I guess that is typical of heavy objects in heavy shipping times. I had to get other boxes to put these in as gifts, because both the main carton and inner boxes were not fit to use as gift containers. I do not blame the seller for this, it is just the way heavy objects get treated when the delivery company is tired, overworked, and probably physically sore from the toil. I really do understand.

I decided to pick out a better vise than I originally thought I would. This one seems OK to me. I don't have a lot of criteria to rate it as but it does the job and I haven't found a down side to the vise. I'm using slightly smaller mounting bolts than expected, the holes for them too, are not real big. I like the anvil.

Put this on the tailgate of my tree truck to hold my chainsaw for sharpening. Works like a charm! Craftsmanship is spot on. Not too bulky and is easy to mount! Happy with it. I will be buying another!

I believe there was a manufacturer defect in the pour of the metal. This device was holding a sleeved steering wheel shaft and I was tapping one side of the shaft with a 6 pound sledge using the force that you would use with a golf putter. Only a defective vice would’ve broken

This thing is garbage. It had rust within a week and snapped apart while my husband was using it. It literally broke apart. Spend the extra and buy a good one.

The swivel mechanism has to bolts for fixing the vise and it does its task but it's not convenient to operate cause pins/levers are small and positioned very tight to the vise base walls.
