Looking for Rifle Barrel lock so I could travel to the range with my rifle and lock for storage.This lock fits my Springfield Armory M1A and 12gage Pump Action Shotgun.You need to open the action of the Shotgun to slide the cable down the barrel.The ball of the cable will not fit into the Action therefore preventing use.The coating is preventing the cable lock from being used on a .22cal. rifle.I tried the exposed end of the cable, and it barely fits the barrel of a .22, so I wouldn't recommend for a .22 rifle.

This is the perfect way to lock your break action over under or side by side shotgun. Trigger locks are useless and the chamber loop cables won't work. I use one for my semiauto also and it works perfect.

Lock seems to be made well, however, I bought this for a 22 rimfire rifle and the cord is too large to fit down the barrel. Fortunately I was able to use it on another rifle.

Used this for a Marlin lever-action rifle that I could not use a typical trigger lock on. This worked perfectly! No gripes.
