I bought this for use with an underwater case for my gopro style camera (the SJCAM). So far it has been through 5 snorkeling trips and is doing well. It makes it easy to hold the camera and aim it, the grip holds it steady, and it floats with the camera attached. I noticed a little bit of dampness inside the tube after the last trip, so I wouldn't put anything inside it that has to stay dry (although it is possible that I just didn't tighten it all the way that time).

This has good grip, and the strap is really nice, but I was a surprised when I took it diving and found out it wouldn’t float.

Bought for a GoPro Hero 12, took it to the lake, used on jet skis, camera went into the water and never came back up. DID NOT FLOAT AND LOST GOPRO. Don’t buy, it doesn’t float.

I have another floating handle for my go pro but this one is a much better quality. Compared to the other, it is larger, better made, and more robust in terms of the hand grip and the size/shape. It fit my go pro absolutely fine both inside and outside the waterproof case and it also comes with a nifty little tripod stand that is stored inside the body of the floating handle - it does say that this should always be removed when using in water or the handle will not float, and I can see why as it is quite heavy.It's still a little too early in the year for me to be using the go pro in water, but I tried it out in the sink to see if there were any issues with leaking, and so far so good. There was no water ingress into the body and it did float with the tripod removed. I also like the colour better than the one I already have as the bright yellow is much more visible in the water. I think I can get much use from this floating handle and I am satisfied with it.

Ok so it’s a generic model but it still works and it’s half the price of the Go Pro handle. Ideal for water sports, surfing swimming or in our case Sea Kayaking. TBF it’s not as nicely finished as the Go Pro as the grip is a dimpled rubber rather than a soft neoprene, but the main thing is it works, it’s comfortable to hold and it floats! No more lost Go Pros! The mount at the top is slightly raked to give better ergonomic use and to allow the camera to face forward at the same time. It can be attached to the supplied tripod if required without removing the handle and the said tripod can be stored in the handle when not in use, but the instruction do suggest it might not float if not removed before use (it still floated well for us even with the tripod in the handle). You cannot unfortunately store all the accessories in the handle it’s either the tripod or the adaptors but TBF you’re to be needing all 3 at the same time. I can see the compartment being useful to keep money notes dry – especially if they are the new paper type but then many enthusiasts I know have other payment devices on them when out and about on the water.Supplied with an 1/4" adaptor for use on standard mounts and a tube style 22cm cloth lanyard with adjustable spring buckle. We weren’t sure about the quality before testing but we were surprised how much better the item is than the listing shows or claims.

This action camera floating handle will fit most action cameras with the stardard fitting.Being yellow it can be easily seen in the water and has a rubber grip which helps when holding it. It has a loop to put around your wrist to stop it floating off and the base unscrews so you can keep things in there.The base has a standard tripod screw mount and it is supplied with a small tripod that can be fixed to it so it can be used free standing.

This floating hand grip mount is a handy accessory for anyone who uses action cameras. The grip is comfortable to hold and provides a secure way to capture footage while swimming. The built-in mini tripod adapter allows me to easily set up my camera on a stable surface. But, it could be more stable on uneven surfaces. The internal storage is handy for keeping small accessories.
