Great scriber. Will buy two more just to have on hand. Easy to set and tighten. Easy to adjust pin heights for going to a vinyl from a rubber or thicker flooring. Pin is sharp and strong.

I install flooring for a living and have a set of similar and more expensive scribes. A guy a worked with bought one of these and his work exactly like the more expensive Crain model. So I decided to try it out. For the price, it was worth a shot. My scribes weren’t as functional as my coworkers. The pin assembly didn’t go all the way to the front of the guide slot. So the scribe would always be long. I contacted customer service and they rectified the situation quickly. The slot just needed to be widen a little with a dremel tool and it worked after that.

Works exactly as intended. Used on a daily basis at work. Almost identical to Armstrong brand (Crain 370). Ball on bottom of scriber is off center (poor welding) but it doesn't affect scribe. Would without a doubt purchase again

Pin and top half of the pin holder gets loose and falls out in travel, lost the top of the holder within the first month owned and never found it.For potential new buyers... You shouldnt have to do this.... But maybe adding a little Teflon tape or light duty thread lock to the threads will help prevent this.Product performed decent when all parts were there.Youre getting what you paid for with this one.
