Worked just as I had hoped it would to cut a hole in my table so I could drop in a Lage Big Green Egg. It produced a beautifully smooth, clean cut, even with a cheapo Ryobi router purchased from the orange home improvement store.

Solid carbide I believe. I used it to cut holes with a jig for a corn hole board in 3/4 inch plywood. One pass with my Porter Cable router (heavy duty) model. This bit cut with minimal effort. I did 4- 6" holes so far and as expected, no signs of wear. Nice bit. This is my second Freud router bit. Small sample but I think they have top quality carbide. So far, better than expected.
