Worked fantastic. The reccomended installation pictured on the box was a great idea. It's heavy duty and has now survived 3 heavy freeze cycles.

Easy installation and very smooth valve operation. Replaced a competitors model which was very stiff and hard to adjust flow.

The valve is at the bottom, the handle is at the top. When you close the handle, it closes the bottom valve and opens a weep hole at the bottom to empty the standpipe of water into the dirt so it cannot freeze inside the pipe. I know that is working because of a slight delay of water out the spigot when I turn the valve on, due to water filling the standpipe. The instructions call for elaborate installation steps to keep the weep hole from ever clogging, but I just wrapped that part of the standpipe with several layers of landscape fabric with cable ties. I recommend a post or stake of some type to hold the standpipe, because just hitting it with a riding mower could be enough to damage the connection underground. This standpipe is very sturdy galvanized steel.

Easy install. The fit was fine. It was built fine. It did leak, but I think that is probably more an installation error than a malfunction. It was a bit of a hassle to install.I would advise buying the whole pipe & hydrant head. Much easier to install.

Cracked my original head (blue) and this mated to the pipe nicely. I did have to take the stem attachment off to feed my stem through it but no big deal at all. Works great and easy to replace.

Terrible quality will never buy again. If it was just one that leaked, I'd assume it was a fluke but I installed 2 and both leaked at the plunger base.
