This is a solid spigot, much better than the plastic one that came with my rain barrel. I also like that it's angled so it's easier to get the water in the watering can. Easy to install, and no leaks!

Instead of "rain barrels" I make "rain buckets" - a 5 gallon food grade bucket with the standard lid. I install these spigot at approximately 1-1/2" above the bottom of the barrel (to allow for sediment). I also use one of the soft nylon gaskets to further secure the spigot. For the lid, I use the rain barrel screens (sold here) to keep out insects and other pests. This is the perfect size for a small porch or deck.For those asking - they are elevated on blocks to give space for a watering can.

I bought three of these to replace the junk plastic ones that had broken on out rain barrels. They are super sold, high quality and also flow a lot more water than the previous ones. Great upgrade.
