Gas Detector Functions and Operations
Setting
Press the left or right button, and press the middle button to enter. In the settings function, use the right button to select from the time setting, backlight setting, language setting, and air pump setting
Alarm Setting
To access the alarm setting, select the gas type to be set by pressing the right button, and press the middle button to select it. Set the parameters for low alarm, high alarm, STEL, TWA, MAX and press the middle button to save the settings.
View Records
Select the left button from the main menu, and press it to display the gas type. Use the buttons to select the gas type you want to view, and press the middle button to display the records for that gas type, such as oxygen
View Curve
Select the right button from the main menu, and press it to display the gas type. Use the buttons to select the gas type you want to view, and press the middle button to display the curve for that gas type, such as oxygen

Tested when received with the individual independent calibration gases at several levels and alarmed and displayed well within acceptable precision. Used several days in field as a confined space monitor and as a personnel monitor vs Honeywell and MSA units and it matched up very well with no discrepancies in bump tests and actual conditions. For the price it is great even if I don't know about it's longevity vs the major brands. I already dropped it hard 2x with no issues. As it is not a major brand I will always be sure to bump test it and check vs cal gases but you are supposed to anyways.

While the capabilities of this product are limited, what they do give you is simple to use. And the manual, while not great, is still helpful. I like the size and weight. I don't like having to toggle through the screens and other options. It's clumsy and time consuming. But this is pretty typical of these units and it does the job anyway.

I bought this specifically to monitor CO in the house. A couple of days ago my CO alarm was showing 30ppm in the house. Yikes! I grabbed this meter and it read zero. Huh? So I turned on my other (Toptes) CO meter, and it read 27ppm. I have since tried this Forsensal meter on various inefficient combustion sources, and it always reads zero CO. I don't have a tank of cal gas yet, so I have no other way to test it. I certainly can't rely on it.UHC and O2 do respond. That can be handy, but now I have to ante up for a decent CO meter. Unfortunately I figured all of this out after the box had been sent to recycle, so I can't return it.Another issue is that the air pump rattles like there is a loose part inside. I haven't taken it apart yet to see what is going on. It is drawing a sample, so it should not affect the reading.

When the unit is turned on it boots up and immediately alarms reading oxygen at 30% despite being activated outside in clean air. (20.95%) When I attempted to check the calibration I found the unit needs a password to access the calibration menu and the password is not included in the manual or on any other documents that came with the unit rendering it useless. There is also no obvious way of contacting the seller to try and get the password.
