I had a radon check done. High radon. Had it mitigated. Had to decide am I going to keep buying test kits to submit for scores. No. Glad I didn't just take the first system and say it must be good, because it wasn't. Plugged this in and got a high reading still. Radon mitigation was guaranteed, so the guy came out and put in a larger fan. I had this device and could see within 24-48 hours it was still not low enough. My guy came back and put in an air exchange unit. I could see on my own that this time it worked. There was no back and forth to the post office to mail in something, nor drive to some air and water radon facility, with charges each time. You can get a weekly average, and a moment by moment reading. I love it! You can tell when weather changes, or I'm doing a laundry, how the radon levels fluctuate. Easy plug in wherever you want to check...basement, main floor, upstairs, attic...wherever you spend time. Give it time to get a valid reading when you plug it in. It won't be accurate unless it's been plugged in to take readings for a few hours. It takes new readings every 10 minutes. There is an alarm that beeps if the reading is over 4, but you can shut that off. I feel like it was well worth the money for its ease of use, portability, easily read display and peace of mind.

Pros+ real time reading, so good for experimenting and diagnosing what is raising and decreasing radon levels, trial and error.+ I think it's accurate, because radon level meter reacts -- goes up when there's no ventilation (windows and doors shut), and goes down when there's a lot of ventilation. It's helped me figure out a solution (open windows doors letting the air circulate, at least for the short term until we get a permanent long term fix.Cons- requires USB plug, no battery. Data will reset if unpluged.

I used this monitor during a tour of a new house I was considering buying. Our area is notorious for Radon gas with a home 15 minutes away needing Mitigation to redirect the gas away from the house. Since the monitor arrived in time before the Real Estate tour but not in enough time for me to read the instructions, I still took the monitor with me along with a power bank ( in case the home for sale had it's electricity shut off ) and hoped for the best. As soon as I arrived in the house I told the Realtor I was going to take a noninvasive Radon test in the basement. I unboxed the ecosense - went downstairs and simply pluged the provided cord into my power bank then set my cell phone timer for 10 minutes and starting the tour outside to be considerate of my Realtors time.10 minutes goes by quick when touring a home for sale and since the main function for which I needed the test was an initial reading to understand if I needed further action in case I made an offer on the house and even though I had no time to read about the multiple features of this unit, the ecosense delivered!I had enough time for 3 readings! Between outside and indoor touring, I got 2 different readings of separate basement areas both of which were within safe levels of Radon and even had time for a reading upstairs in the kitchen also within normal limits but a bit higher # ( maybe because the gas can enter thru well water and out the faucets (?). When I got home, I checked my own house levels for Radon & Thank G-d they were also within normal levels but I will keep monitoring as levels change for various reasons and seasons and different areas of the home. Having a Radon monitor makes as much sense to me as having a carbon monoxide monitor in the home since you never know when either will reach dangerous levels. This unit has a danger alarm as well! My Dad died of Lung Cancer. I wish this was available in his day, I would have checked my parents home and suggest Radon Mitigation or sleeping in a better area of the home. So give yourself the gift of Peace of Mind and get this monitor. I recommend the ecosense Radon Monitor for ease of use, initial fast results, small footprint and functionality.

Charcoal test read 1.1 whilst unit readings are .75! Easy to use though! Runs on electricity. Fair value for the money. Unit looks nice and has it’s own stand. Large number display so you can see from 20ft away.

Works great! There isn't much to it - plug it in and you'll start getting a reading right away. Don't worry too much about the instant reading, just set it to display the 7 day average and leave it.Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer, after smoking. My levels haven't gone above about 0.6 or so (you want to be under 4.0) so I'm glad to know that.

This device is very easy to use, just plug-in and start to read the radon data in 10 mins. It seems very accurate, and the number keep updating every 10 mins. You can easily switch different modes to see daily, weekly, monthly, etc. No learning curve at all. It's like a plug-and-play, and so small and cute design. I really like its easy-to-use design, reliable and accurate. I feel like this is saving my life, I was able to check multiple places at my home, and identify some troublesome area, i probably didn't have any idea without this device. I'm now considering to find radon professional for the next step. What a relief understanding your home radon issues. Since it's very quick to get a result and easy to use, you can test multiple locations very quickly. One thing I realized the radon level keep changing during the day, especially the early morning is really high in radon, seems it keeps changing depending on the season too. I'll keep monitoring my radon status at home, and update more. The alarm feature is very good, easily notify when the radon level is high, you can also config the alarm setting easily. Really great device if you are interest in radon monitoring.

Works very well. Very portable. Can bring to friends' and relatives' homes to test their radon levels. I tested it by also using a radon cannister which I submitted to a lab for the results and the readings on both were almost identical which gave me confidence that the electronic readings of this device are accurate.

Sold on UK site, says there’s a plug. No plug in the box. Very very disappointed and waste of time/money.

My wife was worried about radon in our 150 year old home. The basement does have a poured concrete floor but not much ventilation. That said, old homes have lots of air leaks which is a good thing when it comes to healthy home air! Our radon reader has put her at ease BUT she says it’s just numbers and is still a bit uneasy even if the numbers are in completely safe area.. maybe if there was a colour code along with the number each as turning from red to blue to green.

Great product, assuming it is 90% accurate like they state I am very pleased knowing my house is in the safe levels for radon. This product gave me complete peace of mind. Plug and play as described.
