The clock was all wood as expected. The chains were a little tangled but we were able to untangle it. My wife loved the gift. The clock arrived as expected. I would purchase from this seller again.

I love the overall look of this clock. I had to adjust the pendulum because the clock ran 5 minutes slow. I turned it clockwise and counter clockwise until the keeping of the time was accurate. But otherwise, it's a very good clock. It's beautiful in appearance and I like the sound of the cuckoo and everything. I give this product an A++

One would suppose, pay $350+ for a cuckoo clock and it ought to arrive more-or-less ready to run—but that’s not so. Beware: the clock will probably require some messing around with. On my clock, the small plastic retaining flap that slides over the back cover came off almost immediately. I had to get a tiny brass screw replacement to put it back on. When hung, my clock wouldn’t run more than 10 seconds. I took it to a clock shop where the owner bent a wire in the back with some pliers. It turns out its mechanism wasn’t inserted into the case in straight plumb, so that had to be compensated for or it wouldn't run. Afterwards, it ran okay in the shop. But when re-hanging it the wooden bird finial fell off and broke in two on the floor. It turns out its thin kiln-dried wood dyed to look like walnut, having the strength of a matchstick. The finial was woodglued back together and now the whole affair is finished (I hope) and up and running, after three days of screwing around with it.
