This was inexpensive and came quickly. I live by 5G tower and yes, it was going off like crazy. I had my friend check her home which is not by the tower and she said that there were no hot spots in her home. I feel my purchase validate my thoughts. Did it give me peace of mind? No. Purchase and check surroundings. It is easy to use. It is very accurate.

Does not work. Waste of money. What a scam. Don’t trust this product or the company that makes it.Not accurate at all. This is a toy. If you want a toy, buy it, if you want actual working equipment- do further research and save money to buy something worth it.

I liked that it was inexpensive and had cordless charging.I did not like not having the option to keep it on over five minutes Auto shut off was activated permanently.

Current price point at the time/date of this review: $34.29 with no discount/coupon currently being offered by the seller at this time. This is the first of its kind for me, had no idea these types of devices could be so affordable given the quality build and clear digital readout. No complaints on the pricing front.Although I wish it didn’t come in pink, I’m cool with it so long as it works well. My suggestion however would be to make it more of a neutral color choice such as white-on-white, or all white with accents of silver. Otherwise, it may inadvertently be limiting your audience. Can you imagine this being the color of preference for a handyman dude? Not necessarily a dealbreaker (or maybe) but definitely a small deterrent from what could easily have been made into a more inclusive product. Is it a stretch to assume this might look better tailored towards an overbearing and overly conscientious mom in a matching barbie pink apron? You know, looking for that devil behind every bush, fine combing the home for any potential leak points.I digress, this unit seems to work fine, although you’ll have to get fairly close to your electronics, and so I’m hoping it’s reading accurately and sensitively enough. If this is the case, it’s a good sign since after scanning our beds and other regions we spend a good deal of time don’t seem to show much hint of EMF radiation. However, if you go closer to electronics it tends to give a hard read with certain devices. Not sure how to interpret the data, does that mean if you’re as close as the reader is to the device your scanning, that’s how strong the EMF will be?It seems to redline on the “harmful†meter quite frequently, just be sure to use common sense and not to freak out. The last thing anybody wants to see (and this includes the neighbours) is a frantic barbie dressed mother (or father) dumping all their electronics on their front curbside. RELAX. I really think they should have increased the scale and added a green, yellow/amber, and then a red zone, but only for seriously worrisome readings.DON’T FREAK OUT. A lot of my household electronics seemed to redline. My suggestion is keep your bed area as free as you can from EMF. The further your head is from the headboard and away from your nightstand’s alarm clock the better. The bed is where you spend the most part of your day sleeping, so it’s worth a consideration.I ran a test. When directing this at my phone, it appears to pick up a “pulsating†reading going from “safe†to “harmful†consistently. My guess is the way it’s broadcasting or something related to frequencies. Anywho, noticed a dramatic difference when we set it on “airplane†mode. Best to keep it in that mode next or away from your bed as you sleep. Better yet, just shut it off, and assuming you have a full charge, then unplug it from your charger.

Do you experience feelings of dread in your attic or basement? Have you, or your family, ever seen a spook, spectre, or ghost? Worried about taking out a third mortgage to pay for that unlicensed nuclear accelerator you’re carrying around on your back? Well, this little EMF meter could be just what you’re looking for.As you may have gathered, I was a big Ghostbusters fan back in the day. I used to stalk through the house with my little plastic proton pack and ghost trap, but this EMF meter is as close to a genuine PKE meter as I could have ever dreamed of getting.I left most of that behind as I grew up and entered the sciences, but I’ve always had a soft spot for a good ghost story or scary TV show ever since. I’m not sure if I really believe in the paranormal, but I’ve had a number of experiences that I can’t rationally explain, so I’m intrigued by the possibility.According to the somewhat suspect ghost hunters I used to watch on TV, an EMF meter is standard equipment for locating all manner of invisible entities. I haven’t run into Elvis yet, so I can’t say if that’s true, but this definitely detects electrical and magnetic fields that are otherwise unnoticeable. Detection is very consistent, lighting up in the same areas and intensities each time, which impressed me. Much of it appears to be stray WiFi/wireless signals, but it’s also useful for checking electrical outlets, fixtures, and switches. It’s far more sensitive than the NCV setting on my multi-meter.The issue I have is the measurements/readings are difficult to contextualize. Most signals jump directly to the “harmful†zone, but it often doesn't make sense. For example, I held it near an electrical outlet in a section of my house that currently has no power at all, and it still went off. It’s clearly detecting something, but it’s hard to tell what that is, and at what intensity. It’s nice to have the data, but making sense of it is a different story. Further, there’s little science to support the notion that low-level non-ionizing radiation like this is harmful to people.Regardless, this is a fun little device that has a number of practical uses. I don’t think it’s likely to put you in touch with your great grandma anytime soon, but it’s still a useful and entertaining little doohickey. There are a number of different meters available on Amazon, ranging from $15 up into the hundreds, but $35 seems to be the standard price for a model like this. I like that it comes with a lanyard and recharges via USB C, which is an advantage over other designs. It never hurts to shop around a little but, if you’re looking for a compact and user-friendly EMF detector, this might just be the one for you.My rating: 4.25 stars

Wow... was testing this device, ever an eye opener! So if you are someone, like me, that has never really thought much about electrical or electromagnetic fields in your home and what possible dangers they might present, this device (and I imagine others like it) are liable to let you know, very quickly, where you stand - literally. This small and unassuming device is capable of reading both fields and will sound off an audible alarm (that can be silenced) leaving you with visual cues as well on it's display. So here was the eye opener, not only do the mass majority of the electronics around our home, present one or (most often) BOTH of these fields they all emit such fields, even when they are OFF!!! The alarm advised me of "safe" levels of these fields being surpassed, so often, that I thought I was using this tester, incorrectly. The manual is pretty straight forward and as it turns out, the device is dead simple to use. The simple matter is this, our house is slowly trying to kill us.All joking aside I am deeply grateful for having this chance to use one of these meters because it has demonstrated to me that we need to make some changes in our living environment. This device has caused me to dig deeper and start doing my homework. I am now starting ro believe that this device maybe be a little "alarming" and truth is somewhere closer to things not being QUITE as bad as the meter indicates but it has still awaken me to a reality that I had not previously considered. All in all, I like how this meter works and reports it's findings. It is compact and easy to use. I can not compare it to others but based on my experience, I am very pleased with it and the cost makes it a serious consideration for any home owner / renter as well as workplaceDefinitely recommended.
