I bought this because another similar item I bought broke easily. This one is way more durable and easier to use. I mainly use it to hold my phone at my desk but the selfies I’ve been able to take have come out really good as well.

This is a hard one. But I'll try to simplify. The Tripod only works as a tripod when not extended. It's very unstable when extended unless you use some sandbags or such.Does good as a selfie stick and extends far.The phone holder does good but has some problems with my case, I have to be careful to secure properly. The clamps could be deeper.The Gimbal, the part that means the most to me works fairly well. One issue I have is when I turn the unit on, it positions itself quickly but is always a little off center. Now all I need to do is long press the top buttons to move one way of the other. However one of the buttons is touchy and activated the rotate function instead. It can be a pain to get set up. Once set up, it works well, nice stabilization of the camera and moves relatively smoothly. Another issue I have is when I'm taking a video and the camera is facing towards the ground, the unit starts shaking. That's frustrating. I haven't figured out how to fit it.The remote works great and controlling the start/stop of the camera and video.The light is cute, and does have RGB settings along with dimming. Nice to have if only a little extra light is needed.I tried the AI tracking, not happy with it. But I'm more interested in the Gimbal part.For the Gimbal and Selfie stick, I give it a 4 stars.For the AI and Tripod, it's 3 stars.I hoped for more.

I have been charging the unit for more than 8 hours and it seems not to be charging enoughand have not reach full charge. Not sure iif this is a battery problem

So I first opened this up and powered it up and the head twisted and spun around and it was responding to the buttons fine. Took me a bit to figure out all the buttons because there are quite a few based on how many clicks or how long you hold the buttons for. There is a cheat sheet on the stabilizer u dear the removable remote control but it’s in tiny tiny print. I like that it has a light and there are several options for color for the light. There is also a lock button to stop it from adjusting.The bad news is that I plugged it in to charge and the light turned red as if to say it needed to charge but after over a day, the red light never changed. It was weird, right? So I unplugged it and tried it and seemed to be charged and it spun around just like before. But wait…there are two charging ports. One for the head and a separate one for the light. So I plugged that one in to charge overnight. I tried it the next day, this time with my phone in the bracket, connected to Bluetooth, ready to do a video…. But it didn’t work. It was not only not rotating using the buttons but the natural state was crooked. I tried several more times before I plugged it in again. After a few more hours and the red light not going away, I tried again and without the phone in the holder and still nothing. The light is the on,y thing that works.

If you're just dabbling in the world of making videos with your phone, this is a great little gadget to use. There are a lot of great features on it. Clipping your phone is super easy, and it's very secure (although always use caution if you're extending your phone over cliffs or similar places). You can insert your phone vertically or horizontally, which is nice too. There is a locking feature so you can have the phone stationary or auto-balancing with the gimbal. This device also extends out for a selfie stick, and the bottom splits apart for a simple tripod function. The remote control is detachable and you can use it for taking photos, face control, and moving the gimbal. There is also a detachable light cube (USB rechargeable) which is super handy! It took me a little bit to figure it out at first - you have to hold the power button down until it turns on, and hitting the power again once will change the color. There are different colors, as well as cool and warm white. The other button changes the brightness, with three levels. Overall, this is a fantastic little device for budding videographers or content creators. It's got charging cables includes (you'll need your own brick though), and it's super easy to use. Definitely recommend!

I really wanted to like this Smart M1 Pro gimbal selfie stick but after trying for days to try connect the bluetooth remote to my Zenfone 6 I have kinda given up.The Smart M1 Pro gimbal seems to work fine as a single axis stabilizer.Gimbal functions are quick and accurate during both horizontal and vertical angles.This selfie tripod is very compact and folds up neatly for storage and carrying around.I like the fact it has a built in fill light that works independently from the selfie stick. It can be remotely removed and placed anywhere for fill light.The fill light has 2 main Kelvin temperatures, with each having 3 light intensities.There's also RGB color affects that you toggle through.As like all selfie sticks this one has an extendable arm that extends up to 88cm.But due to the overall weight, you may experience some forearm fatigue when used for extended periods.Small 3 legged tripod legs are also integrated into the selfie stick body and the head of the unit has a GoPro like pivot knob for angle adjustments and head pivoting.The selfie head itself is nicely designed as you can mount your phone vertically or horizontally on it's side.Plus the removable thumb sized remote fits snugly inside the handle.The remote itself functions as expected for switching between horizontal and vertical positions. And the right button for slow 360 degree pivoting also functions as expected.What doesn't work well is the shoot button as it does not direct or communicate with my camera to shoot any photos or shoot any video.The Shoot button actually turns on my phones volume adjustment.Overall this gimbal selfie stick is a very nice neat little package that is very well designed.Too bad I can't get the remote to shoot any photos or videos.UPDATEI finally figured out why the included remote doesn't trigger the shutter button on my Asus Zenfone 6 camera.Having visiting a couple different camera/digital photography forums I was able to pinpoint the issue.Many newer phones have the ability to customize the 'volume rocker' button to operate and/or function differently as default.As it seems, many of these trigger-remotes function mainly as a 'volume up' toggle via Bluetooth.So if I have my volume button set as flip camera or zoom, when I press the remote the volume pop-up shows on-screen - and no shutter function occurs.So after setting the volume-rocker back to shutter function the remote ow works perfectly.Many people were having same issues with other 3rd party remotes they were buying.So always check camera system shutter customization.Upgrade my star rating
