It works really well and keeps the dry wall dust completely contained. Keep your vacuum on when you are finished and knock the side of the hose a few times to let the dust fall off the sides and into the vacuum more. If will gouge the joint compound so apply an even amount of pressure. Depending on your vacuum cfm, it will likely suction itself to the wall during use. Makes it easier to use imo.

The Goldblatt Dust-Free Hand Sander does a great job at reducing dust while sanding. It’s lightweight, easy to use, and definitely cuts down on cleanup. However, the hose connection could be more secure—it sometimes slips off. Overall, a solid tool that makes sanding much cleaner and more convenient!

This kit worked well. I used with full size and small shop vacuum. It did a good job at reducing the amount of dust in the room. I used on a ceiling and it worked well. I only used it on one room, but it worked well and I didn’t have any issues with the durability or functionality.

This thing gets 5 stars all the way! If you have the right set up, and know how to actually sand drywall( not straight up and down and not straight side to side but moving it n about 30 -45 degree angles across your joints) this thing will deliver results and almost no mess! Sure you will have a little dust but if you don't press into your dry mudd to hard and let the tool do it's work you will see that it cuts sanding down in half. I've used the big orbital Sanders and by know means am I a pro but I found compared to them this tool is easier to control and helps you control depth so you don't over sand. Also you have to get your mudd right. I used a 5 horse shop vac with a harbor freight vortex bucket dust collector, and I put a extra exhaust hose in the shop vac exhaust out the window. I would tell anyone to by this, well worth the money( again if you have the right set up). Sanding was not hard at all ! again if you dont hold it flat on the dry wall. Hold it at about 30 degrees off the wall and just keep rotating it to use all the sandpaper and move it in 30- 45 degree angles and you will get the right results.

I can never get perfect seems when I wet sand. This tool took 90% of the mess out of dry sanding. My dry wall is perfect with much less mess.

I have done my share of plaster repair in my old home. My current project is a complete refinishing of my front hallway, including replacing a part of the damaged plaster wall with sheetrock. As a result there is a lot of compound and plaster used for patching and skim coating. As I want to reduce the dust from flying all over the adjacent rooms I could put plastic sheeting up in all the doorways, but that is time consuming and inconvenient as this hallway is needed to get to anywhere in the house. So I bought this unit to connect to my shop vac instead (do not use a regular vacuum as the very fine white dust can go through the bags/filter and clog the motors on many home units. My only issue (and other's also mention this) is that despite this coming with different size hose attachments, none properly fit my shop vac's hose. So I simply used painters tape to hold the slightly loose connector on. It isn't pretty but it works. And this system works quite well overall. It cut down on flying dust by about 85-90%. The sandpaper included is effective but will wear out in short order if using on harder plaster as opposed to compound so make sure you buy extra sheets. The included hose in addition to my shop vac's hose was quite long and allowed my to reach the upper part of the wall and ceiling easily with some hose length to spare. Overall a good buy if you are working around areas you want to avoid flying dust.

I like the ergonomics, but the lack of replacement scrap net is a minus. Also it needs more adapters to match regular vacuum cleaner pipe hose.
