I added these to my existing system. They were easy to set up, the b attery life is good. These pay for itself if it detects the first leak of water. I recommended this to many friends who are thankful to me for this product. The notifications in app and emails are a great feature. They also connect well with the wifi in the house.

I spent like an hour trying to figure out why it wasn't connecting to the base. Changed batteries and tried numerous things to get it working. Turns out it was a defective device and the replacement works fine. This is replacing an older one that died so I guess these are not 100% reliable. Other than that they seem to work fine and are handy.

Soon after I purchased the leak detectors I placed one under a bathroom sink in the master bedroom. The following day it detected a small water leak. I purchased a few more and placed them behind the washing machine, under the kitchen sink, under the sink in other bathroom, behind each toilet, and one in the water heater closet. Yesterday, the leak detector in the water heater closet detected a leak from a loose packing nut on the water heater’s shut off valve. The leak in the water heater closet could have caused water damage if not quickly discovered.

Funny story with these....I bought them to use them in the laundry room and also in the bathroom.Well, right after receiving them, I put one in the laundry room and my girlfriend started a load of laundry right after. About 5 minutes go by and the device starts beeping like crazy which honestly made me think it was broken at first but after going to check what's going on, there was water leaking from the washing machine! My girlfriend must've not closed the door fully which left some room where the water could come out.So, let's just say this little device probably saved me a lot of money because we wouldn't have noticed until only after the laundry was done.So am I glad that I bought it? 10000% yes.

This product certainly works fine! Saved me from a flood caused by a broken machine… alerted me directly on my phone and I could prevent further flooding. The app is good too

These detectors arrived today, and the one I tested worked fine in shallow water.Testing demonstrated the alarm isn't super loud - audible on same floor, and probably one floor away unless the house is super noisy. Not sure it would be heard two floors away, especially if sleeping.What other reviewers have said about the 4 screws securing the battery chamber is true: they are *tiny*. Be sure when removing or putting them back, that you are in a place that will make it easy to find a dropped screw.I have a 5/64" screwdriver that worked with these screws, manual recommends PH00 or PH0 screwdriver. You have to be careful as the screws will strip easily. When putting the screws back I didn't screw them quite all the way in, to make it easier to remove them in future.Haven't tested the low-battery alarm yet.Couldn't decide whether to give 3 or 4 stars. Decided on 4 because with preparation the screw problem is manageable, so the the main issue is alarm volume, and how much that matters depends on your home.

My main thing with the sensors was getting them to integrate into my Home Assistant environment.With an RTL-433 to pick up the signal, and MQTT, it is easily done, I see both battery life alerts and dry wet.This can be further customized to control a wifi valve to shut off water to the house.For those not techy, they are still very easy to use, and can be used locally for noise, or integrated with their own hub for SMS alerts.
