Much improved version of this sensor featuring enhanced signal level for better consistency with data transmission. This unit can tell you if an area is dry vs wet and you can set alerts for either, making it perfect for monitoring laundry areas, bathtubs, water heaters, water levels within containters/fish tanks, etc. Mocreo also features excellent customer service.

Great product. Easy to set up and worked so well. Saved our basement from flooding while out of town. Got the alarm alert while several states away and were able to have family go turn our sub pump on to keep water from building in the basement. Gives us great piece of mind.

I placed this sensor in the AC drip pan in my attic. The hub inside my house handles both the leak sensor and the thermostat sensors from my freezers. It will alarm if water is detected in the overflow pan, as well as notifies my phone so I can avert another water disaster. Highly recommend!

I was provided with a MOCREO water sensor a few months ago in exchange for an honest review of the product. I already had a MOCREO hub and several temperature sensors, and also use a Ring security system with flood/freeze sensors. I will now review the MOCREO equipment and compare it to the Ring equivalents.Installation was easy with both products because I was already familiar with both systems. I simply opened the app and followed the instructions to add a sensor.Placement of the MOCREO water sensor was a bit more involved than the Ring sensor. With Ring, you simply drop the circular sensor on a level surface and you’re done. The MOCREO sensor has a cable leading from the receiver/battery pack to the actual sensing prongs, so you have to make sure that you secure the cable and prongs so that the prongs stay upright and touching the surface to be tested. While this was a bit more involved than simply dropping a sensor on the floor, it would be advantageous if you were trying to reach a difficult area, such as under an appliance, and did not want to have to recover the sensor portion every time you needed to change the batteries. It would also allow for placement under metal while still leaving the receiver/battery pack exposed and within signal range of the hub.Operation of the sensors is different because the Ring sensor is a combined flood/freeze sensor and this cannot be changed. The temperature setting is also fixed at around 40 degrees, which can be a problem. I am monitoring a water heater in an outdoor unheated closet that occasionally reaches below 40 degrees, but mostly is above that temp. The Ring flood sensor is useless to me because it will send false alarms about the temperature on the concrete floor, when all I want to know about is water leakage. This is where the MOCREO sensor is superior, because it detects one thing only.Notifications for both units is similar in that you will be notified if water is present, but the notification method is different. The MOCREO sensor sends you notifications and makes the hub beep, while the Ring sensor will also call your phone with an automated message. I really like this feature, especially in the middle of the night when I may not hear a notification or a beeping hub.As for effectiveness, my Ring sensor has notified me of low temperatures several times, so I know that it works. I installed the MOCREO sensor under my kitchen sink, and while my partner was washing vegetables, it started beeping. We thought it was a malfunction, but it turned out that our trap connections had loosened up over the years and were dripping onto the cabinet floor when water drained from the sink. Thanks, MOCREO, for the reminder to periodically tighten all sink drain connections!Cost of these units was similar in that I paid about $60 for a Ring flood/freeze sensor and about $30 for a MOCREO temperature sensor and would have paid $29 for a MOCREO leak detector. However, if you are only interested in monitoring one thing, the MOCREO is far less expensive.Overall, I would say that if the MOCREO system would add the ability to place an automated phone call to you when it detects temperature or water issues, I would recommend the MOCREO system instead of Ring to anyone for any purpose. However, the lack of a reliable way to wake me up is a real problem (sometimes I sleep through push notification sounds, but I never sleep through a ringing phone). For this reason, I have deducted one star from my rating.Another benefit of the MOCREO system is that the temperature sensors are customizable for any temperature range and even humidity, making them suitable to monitor your freezers for high temps, which the Ring system cannot do. I would go into this further, but this review is for the leak detector, so I will stop here.

I have this set up for my freezers with great results, so I got this water sensor for my basement mechanical room. It was installed less than 24 hours and I got a notification that there was water on the floor. Sure enough the floor drain was plugged and I was able to get things cleaned up before it got to the rest of the basement. Highly recommend this set!

Very happy with both the freezer sensors and the water alarm for my sump pump, sends instant email alerts for both if there is a problem.Highly recommend this product as I have tried others in the past and this outperforms the others by far.

Paired up easy to the hub, tested and it works with even a small amount of liquid. Put in our utility room in case of a leak. Battery life seems great this far

Bought this to monitor an area that sometimes gets water in the basement when it rains really hard. Linked it to the same hub that monitors my refrigerators. Tested with a little water and it seems to work as advertised. Reassuring to see the “no water†message whenever I check it.
