I purchased this to monitor a shut off valve leak that has been very intermittent. A plastic container was placed under the valve to catch any drips and I forgot about it. To my surprise I happened to look at the situation about a year later and the container was nearly full. This is a very slow leak that may have disappeared but realistically probably not so this sensor alarm was placed at the bottom of the emptied container and now I am waiting. If it does go off it is really loud so should be quite apparent and time to finally deal with the unrepairable seal issue and change out the valve.

excellent alarm. flat surfaces only. will work great on floors near water heaters, a/c's, fridges with in door ice machine, cabinet floors for sinks. our use is a in an unfinished basement where floor drain has an issue with backup. NOT A SMART ALARM. not capable of sending any alert to phone/computer. plain Jane noise only. had one issue, plumber said find a water alarm. we found one same day, delivered next day. its loud. it sounded and we raced to the basement to find less than an inch of water.confined to less than 3 feet. easier to clean up with no money to output to someone. it sounds like those anti theft alarms they put on tv's, video games or expensive clothes. for reference mid 1950's home approx 900 sq feet. heard clear as day everywhere in the house.

It comes with instructions. You basically don't need instructions, but the instructions are in really bad chinglish -- which then leads me to wonder if the device is going to be any good. Yes, I know it's a $10 gadget -- but I am going to count on it to work if water leaks.

I held off on reviewing this as I hadn’t had a water leak yet.Our washer has leaked twice in the past year which was what prompted me to purchase this alarm. Yesterday the alarm sounded when I had a load of laundry in, and sure enough it was leaking water. I was very happy to be able to address the problem quickly without my basement flooding or the water causing any damage.

This product works like it should.... Remember to test every 6 months by placing this device in a shallow kitchen plate with some water in it....

Fait très bien le travail mais n’est pas connecté au wifi ou à quoi que ce soit donc il faut être sur place pour entendre sonner. La sonnerie est très forte c’est un avantage
