The thermometer that came with the grill measured 300 degrees in a resting state, e.g. no fire ignited. This unit reliably goes to zero degrees after cooling and measures what I believe is an accurate temperature. It fits exactly into the space of the former thermometer

This thermometer is a perfect size and fits the NEX GRILL Model # 720 - 0830 - H. The only problem I had was loosening the nuts off the small bolts on inside of the grill. Make sure you place the stainless steel ring on the lid and then put the thermometer in place.

Cheap replacement. It works. One of the mounting nuts didn't want to thread on. Fixed it with a file.
