  • INCREASE UNDERSTANDING WITH THIS VISUAL TOOL - Perfect for teaching freezing and boiling tenps, and number relationships.
  • REINFORCE SCIENCE - Students can use the set for class or home activities.
  • PERFECT MATH TOOL - Age - 5-10, grades K-4

These metal-backed thermometers have a V-shape design to help protect them from breaking. They have a glass tube but are mercury-free for safety so these are great for the classroom. Thermometers feature dual-scale temperature readings from -14-degrees F to 230-degrees F (increments of 2-degrees) and -33-degrees C to 110-degrees C (increments of 1-degree). Each thermometer is about 5-3/4 in. long. Set comes with 10 thermometers. For over 50 years, hand2mind has encouraged hands-on learning and discovery, driving deeper understanding and helping children unlock their full potential. With products designed to enhance learning in the classroom and the world around us, we strive to find new ways to encourage hands-on exploration and discovery.

We bought these for a science fair experiment. They were sturdy, well-designed thermometers. They also, when tested, were all within 1-2 degrees of each other, making them highly effective. This is a great price for a product that functions. Highly recommended for a science fair where multiple thermometers or needed or for a classroom where multiple children need a thermometer.

These thermometers were inexpensive and extremely responsive. They detect temperature changes of a few degrees almost instantly. They worked well for my baking soda and vinegar lab with my 5th graders, and I highly recommend these to any other teacher!

We have used a few of these for simple science experiments. The thermometers are decently small and seem to be quality for the price point. They can be multi use, so I would say they are pretty durable. I have never had one break or leak. The readings are a little slow to register, and I am not sure how precise they are; but they get the job done for elementary science class. I would purchase again- but I don’t think I will have to. The box I bought has a bunch.

After reading reviews and descriptions of thermometers for 6 weeks we chose these and have been pleased overall. They have been used many times in the last 6 months for experiments in the classroom. Before we begin an experiment we read the temperature on them and choose those with the same temp as they do not always read the same though they are usually close. They are quite sensitive so do not hold them while reading the initial temp as your body temp can affect it. I'm very pleased with the product for the price. Only improvement suggested is that they somehow are assembled to read the same temperature.

This has been one of the poorer purchases. The thermometer falls into two pieces with the bulb part coming unattached to the metal part when we use them in our science class. Not a good product.

Needed to check temps in several locations in two buildings. First I set them out near my desk and after 24 hours saw that readings were identical on all ten. Then I compared two to another thermometer near a thermostat, and that one was about a degree off. Range is important as alochol thermometers generally will not be linear and slight adjustment of the scale is required. Here we were talking approximately room temperature and they are fine.

Does it's job, you get what you play for. I used this to measure temperature in a bunch of rooms after a duct install. They are small and the temperature is hard to read.
