Not much to say, seems very capable of handling my 10 lb setup - telescope + 2 inch lens total weight about 12 lbs , makes balance easy to adjust.

Works as expected except it did not have a lock to keep camera from sliding off forward.

I was looking for a way to keep my camera steady with the 70-200 lens (and battery grip) for shooting video. This along with the SMALLRIG Extended Lens Support is a very good solution. This makes the lens and camera one solid unit with no wobble what so ever and allows me to balance the camera on my video head. It works well with the Benro S8 fluid head.

Edit: I got a note from Haoge offering some instructions that didn't come with the plate. There are a couple of smaller screws that can go in holes towards the end of the plate. That works on my Manfrotto 500 head, but sacrifices a bit more length than necessary. On my 502 head it doesn't work. Manfrotto did it by properly shaping the bottom of the plate. No reason Haoge can't do that, too.I'll also point out that Manfrotto doesn't use the Arca Swiss standard. If this plate had a double dovetail (as many plates do) with an AS standard on top it would be much more useful.Original review, still stands:The good: long, and seems fairly sturdy. Comes with a few screws and two allen wrenches. It also has plenty of 1/4-20 holes, which turn out to be necessary. The bad: The top of the plate is smoothly machined, so it offers no real resistance to prevent a clamp or camera from rotating. The bigger problem is that it's not properly sized and designed. First photo shows that the stop is a bit narrower than on the genuine Manfrotto plate. It's a small difference, but it's difference that could cost you thousands of dollars if you let an expensive rig fall.Photo 2 shows it on a 500 fluid head. The stop lets it slide far enough back that it misses the quick release latch, so it could fall out. It slides off of the front with no resistance at all. Photo 3 shows a possible fix - a 1/4-20 machine screw (still needs to be shortened) will prevent it from sliding too far back or off of the front. If you've got a 501 head it's a workable, if inelegant, solution to a problem Haoge should fix.On a 502 head it won't slide off the back, but it will slide off of the front. A screw will prevent it from sliding off the front, but if you put a screw in the bottom of both corners (the plate is symmetrical and can be reversed) you can't install the plate on the 502 head. Installing screws from the top lets it work, but there's still interference with the rear stop. You'll need to slide the plate allthe way back so the screw clears the stop on the head and then release the stop so it doesn't catch the stop that's machined intp the bottom of the plate. It's also important to make sure the screw reaches far enough through the hole to be almost flush with the bottom of the plate, because the front stop on the head is only about 3mm high. Another inelegant solution to a problem that shouldn't exist in the first place.Photos 4 & 5 show it all the way forward (with a screw in the last hole) on a 502 head. With care it can be aligned properly, but there's enough play for it to be cocked well to one side. Of course the main purpose of the long plate is to have plenty of room to move the camera (really the lens' nodal point) back, so I don't imagine alignment will be an issue in the real world. I suspect that a long Manfrotto plate might do the same thing, too.I've got no idea how it works on other Manfrotto heads. Maybe it works perfectly on some, or maybe it has problems that can't be fixed with a few screws.

Got this for a 500AH. Attached an Arca Swiss clamp to the end and with the panning of the head it works great. Now to get out and take some pano shots.

I made it work by using some 1/4 20 screws. I was sliding off the head. No information is supplied so its trial and error till you get something that works.

As mentioned by others, the safety catch hook doesn't extend far enough to actually do anything meaningful (see image: left is a proper plate, right is this plate. The difference in size is exactly the difference between "caught by the safety pin" vs. "goes right past it"). However, the plate has 1/4-20 holes at the back, so just get yourself a stack of steel washers and a 1/4-20 screw, and this is now about as secure a plate as it gets.

I bought this so I can use on y Sachtler FSB-8 tripod head ! It seem to work EXCEPT it slide in and out without restriction ! So if I have my camera on it and it get loose, it will drop to the floor !The construction itself look great ! But it sadly unusable for me !
