Two bubble levels help you with accurate leveling and always keep the camera straight. Also includes a φ25mm x 50mm short center column for efficient lift and enhanced shooting versatility

  • 【360° Panoramic Arca Type QR Plate】 Designed with standard Arca type dovetails, the round shaped quick release plate is compatible with a wide array of tripod heads and fluid heads, which allows you to use the camera on other equipment without replacing the plate. It also features a horizontal rotation 360° scale for panoramic shooting, which can be securely locked in place using a side knob
  • 【1/4" Screw & 3/8" Tripod Socket】 The 1/4" screw can mount a DSLR camera, mirrorless camera, cinema camera, telescope and camcorder up to 13.2lb/6kg with rubber pads for scratch prevention. And the 3/8" tripod socket connects the head to tripods, monopods, sliders, and camera dollies for stable image and video captures. It can be widely applied to various professional tripods. Compatible with Sony Canon Nikon and other DSLR cameras
  • 【Flexible & Versatile Camera Angles】 By manipulating the geared head, you can achieve diverse camera angles for panorama photography, low angle photography, overhead photography, or shoot in vertical (portrait) or horizontal (landscape) orientations. Amazing tripod head. Needed a geared head for real estate photography so I could get my verticals straight before taking the shot. It's perfect for that. I also use it for astronomy photography. Being able to make small adjustments to stay on my subject is great.Took a minute to figure out how to use it, but now that I understand the function, it's hard to argue with what this thing can do for you, being able to make fast adjustments or slow, you can do it all.

Was able to easily attach it to my medium weight JOILCAN aluminum tripod, replacing the original ball-type that was so difficult to use. Adjustments are all firm and will stay where you leave them without messing with a locking collar or nut. Very well-made and I'll be using it tomorrow for certain.

Great for the price, good quality and very stable. Not perfect but perfect for the price. Unless you are willing to spend $500 you can't beat this Neewer model for about $100.

Getting my cameras correctly positioned for webinars, everyday streaming, etc. was always such a pain. Especially if there are any references in the background (where walls meet or ceiling lines or art on the walls) that make it obvious when the camera isn't exactly level or plumb. The typical ball mount on a tripod is difficult to maneuver because it moves around in all 3 dimensions at once. Grrr. This tripod head solves all those problems, and precisely positioning your camera is a breeze. With this unit, it is SO easy to tweak the way the camera is tilted in any direction. It works so well, I bought a second one for my secondary camera too.If you travel with your gear, one thing to make note of is this tripod head is sizeable and heavy, and it doesn't fold down into a compact, travel-friendly size.

I purchased this geared tripod head to obtain greater control of my spotting scope. When using a high magnification scope at distance, even the slighted movement of the scope results in a huge shift of the image in the viewfinder. This geared tripod head allows me to make smooth, accurate position adjustments.PROS: This geared tripod head allows me to make smooth, accurate position adjustments while providing a solid, wobble free mount for a relatively heavy spotting scope. (Visionking 30-90x100SS HD, 2.7 KG)CONS: I do wish the movement gearing was a just bit higher to allow finer control. Given that this is one of the least expensive geared tripod heads (top models are >$1000) I really can't complain. For the approx $140 I paid, I am very satisfied with my purchase.

I can only compare this to one other gear head that I recently purchased in this price category, but had to return because of the stiffness of the retaining springs and the multiple projections on the "fast" release knobs. Being an old guy, I'm getting a little arthritis in my hands, and the first gear head was almost impossible for me to manipulate; however, this one, with only 2 protrusions on the release knob and softer, but still effective, springs works well for me.I feel the need to clarify the advertising copy that refers to "Mode Control Knobs". They are actually release mechanisms that allow the user to adjust the angles by hand; they are not knobs that engage a different set of gears for moving the parts at a faster rate using the actual adjusting knobs. The Neewer is quite compact, also. I use a travel tripod with a screw-on center extension, and it fits without having to use the included extension. Thanks to reviewer Ryan, who lost his lens, for mentioning the cap screw on the Arca-style head base; I checked it out, and that screw is pretty obviously installed as a safety stop for the panoramic head that came with the base. I don't plan to use the pano feature, so I removed the little screw to avoid problems with fitting my own parts. The Arca-compatible clamping jaw has limited motion compared to the ball heads I've used, so a couple of my mounting plates are hard to fit; seems like an odd design oversight to me. The thin casting of the clamp base itself makes me wonder about its ability to withstand rough use. For me, being the old fart I am, the geared head will be just fine for macro and landscape photography.

Why didn’t I purchase this sooner. Much easier to lock in targets with my spotting scope now. Well worth it.

The NEEWER TH15 3 Way Geared Tripod Head with 360° Panoramic Arca QR Plate has a sturdy build, very similar to a Manfrotto unit. You can immediately feel the quality when you handle it. Everything turns smoothly and locks well. I have an old heavy-duty Manfrotto tripod head, but setting it to an exact angle or levelling was a chore. It is so refreshing that this NEEWER tripod head does that effortlessly and it is a joy to use. I love it.The secret is in the fine-tuning knobs which can be turned easily with high precision. The two bubble levels are located exactly where you need them in the landscape and portrait shooting orientations. They are easy to read and accurate. When you need to make a drastic change, the large-adjustment knobs are there. They are simply a lock-release to allow you to rotate the tripod head freely in their corresponding axis. They will not give you any precision adjustments. However, they are needed to complement the fine-tuning knobs. These large-adjustment knobs are quite tight and need some force to turn them. I suggest using both your thumb and index fingers to turn them. It will make it turn and release easier. The 360° Panoramic rotating quick-release plate is very fluid like a video head and it has a locking screw. Everything works fantastically when the camera is in landscape orientation. However, when the head is set to portrait orientation, the panoramic adapter becomes a curse because it will rotate downwards due to gravity even when a short lens is attached. Unfortunately, the locking thumb screw is too weak to hold the rotating plate securely in place. So there is a little issue here with the quick-release plate. Another problem with the rotating quick-release plate is that the camera base locking screw needs to be tightened by a hex key provided by the kit. This is quite inconvenient. I wish it came with a strong thumb screw. What I like:- High-quality, sturdy and precise tripod head- Precise fine-tuning knobs- Easy-to-release large-adjustment knobs- Two easy-to-read and accurate bubble levels- Panoramic rotating quick-release plate turns very smoothly in the landscape orientationWhat I don’t like:- The panoramic rotating quick-release plate accessory does not lock the rotation angle securely when used in the portrait orientation.- A hex key is needed to secure the camera onto the quick-release plateIn conclusion, the geared tripod head under review has a high-quality, precise and sturdy build. I love it very much. However, the panoramic rotating quick-release plate accessory has room for improvement when used in the portrait orientation. Better yet, I think the kit should come with a fixed non-rotatable camera adapter for portrait shooting. I must stress that the panoramic plate is just a small accessory to the tripod head. One can purchase an appropriate camera attachment plate for the tripod head when shooting in portrait orientation. The shortcoming of the panoramic plate has nothing to do with the almost perfect tripod head design.

Got this on one of amazons limited time deals - for £100. Its extremely good value for money at that price. Its very well constructed, the knobs and dials are well damped and the this gear head is definitely going to replace using a ball head. Wish I had purchased one of these years ago. Highly recommended!
