These are great gun box locks, easy to change the combination and seem fairly sturdy! As you know, locks only keep honest people out of your possessions

It's nice being able to set the combination myself, not preset from the factory

Nice little locks, the dual sided number thing is the only drawback.

I tried the "Nanuk" locks, but they do not fit Pelican Vault or Plano cases. These locks to.

This LAFENLIN Hard Rifle Case TSA Lock four pack is a product based on marketing, not law.TSA does NOT require or approve locks that allow master key access. This is a trade off between security and convenience. Sure, if you use case locks like these, and, if the TSA wants to see inside, they do not have to summon you, they can open the case all by themselves without wasting their time and yours.IMHO… You also lose any security that a case lock can offer. They also don’t fit all Pelican style cases. This LAFENLIN Hard Rifle Case TSA Lock fit and worked with my authentic Pelican cases but would not fit other copycat cases. Please be aware that in order to stay on the right side of the TSA, you must install a lock in every place one is designed to be used on every case. If your case has four lock mounting locations you must have a lock in each one or they will not allow the case to be checked in. Great news for the lock makers.Bottom line… These locks look pretty well designed and manufactured. That said, I would never use them for air travel. They will work pretty well to keep honest adults and children from accessing the contents of your equipment cases. With the right accessories, you can use these locks to chain your cases to a fixture to make them more difficult to steal, assuming the thief doesn’t have a TSA 007 master key, easily available here on Amazon.
