I wanted a new butter dish and I had some very specific requirements for my next one. Previously, we had a little one stick butter dish that had a few major design flaws. My kids would make a giant butter mess all over the bottom and the top of the dish. I'd had enough and needed a larger dish anyway.I'm so happy with my purchase!!It holds the double stick of butter (Costco's grass fed double stick is pictured).It has high edges on the rim of the dish so butter stays in place AND it doubles as a rim to scrape your knife on. Those were two major causes of the butter mess on my old dish. The lid fits nicely and has a very grab friendly handle.The material is sturdy and the color is very pretty.Literally the only down side is that your butter knife won't fit on the edge of the dish for storage. You could l, depending on your knife, try sliding it through the open handle for storage. Anyway, it isn't a deal breaker for me.

Love the color and that it holds all size butters. The inner lip on the bottom piece keeps the top out of the butter so it doesn’t get messy. The top handle is easy to grip and then you can use it to lay the top on its side on the counter. It is perfect!

This butter dish is just as described. It looks good and keeps the butter fresh. I looked for a dish this size at several stores and couldn’t find one. The ones I found were not for European size butter and cost a lot more than this one. I’m very satisfied with this purchase.

Good heft to the product. Doesn't look or feel cheap. Like the fading color scheme on the lid, just as advertised.Biggest issue is that if you had a 'standard size' butter dish before like we did, this one takes up a good deal more space. You could fit two of the skinny sticks of butter side by side inside the dish. If you've got a tight kitchen, this might be more dish than you bargained for.

The butter dish I had did not hold a full stick of butter so I decided to get a new one. I love this butter dish. It’s big enough to accommodate a full stick of butter. The navy color I got is so pretty and the knob at the top makes it easy to open, my other one didn’t have that.
