My mom has (had?) a hobby beading jewelry, but has lost the use of her left side following a horrific stroke. This device was purchased with the intent of helping her hold things from her left that her hand would normally do, while getting back into action on her right on her very favorite pastime.The quality of material is good, it's about the perfect size and the price is awesome. The only complaint I have is the adjustable locking screws are difficult to reach and adjust, particularly in my mom's case (though I'll refrain from calling her situation "normal operation" for this unit!)Overall, a good buy for the money. I hope it helps my mom's situation as much as I think it could!

Giving this a 4 star out of 5. It's cheap but it works. The only thing that I had issues with is the clamps. As soon as I got the clamps on and tried maneuvering them. One side completely fell apart. So I had to remove it and use the clamps on my Solder Stand.The light is pretty good! The design is flawed in my opinion but it functions properly, and allows for close up soldering!

This work station is exactly what I wanted. It holds the project I am working on, giving me that extra “pair of hands†I need. The light can be directed where I need it. The magnifying glasses help to see the small parts that also need attention. I started using it the day I got it. It is perfect for small projects around the house.

This thing is almost worthless. You really do get what you pay for. First of all the bar that holds the alligator clips fell off immediately after taking it out of the box. It took forever trying to get it back together because of the really procarious way it is assembled. It doesn't stay tight at all. Things are slipping and sliding constantly. I could barely hold wire in the alligator clips without the bar wanting to swivel back down. At least the alligator clips hold things tightly. It's also top heavy with the light. The base is so small it's hard to keep it upright. The most annoying thing was the soldering iron holder. I found out quickly the end of a typical soldering iron sits exactly on top of the plastic tightening knob for the whole contraption (which constantly swivels because it won't tighten). So now I have burned plastic on the end of my soldering iron and the awful smell in the house from it. This product is absolutely terrible! Do yourself a favor and spend some extra money on something that actually works. I'm off to search for something else right now. Wish me luck!

I bought this for my new hobby of making miniature rooms. I've used it only a few times but it's been useful. The light is good and for the price it's fine. If I were working on more major projects I'd need something with longer and more positional arms, but this is fine for now. It wasn't difficult to assemble.
