Precautions
- Don't wear gloves
- Don't detect metal
- Best to measure in no wind conditions
- The operating temperature is within the range of 10-35 degrees Celsius, and the humidity is below 80%
- When testing diamond, your right index finger must keep touching the metal panel on the back of the tester.
- Please turn off the power after the test to save power.
- Put the 9V battery in.
- After use, turn off the power.
- Turn on the lights numbers corresponding to the indoor temperature and diamond weight.
- If don't know. Set 4 lights on the scale.
- Start test diamond, no need to adjust the switch switch.
- Novice : Set 4 lights on the scale.
- Expert :Set the initial value based on the current temperature, object size, and the table on the back of the device.
- The principle of the equipment is to measure temperature and transfer energy, so the ambient temperature and object size have an impact on the measurement results.
- Use the diamond discriminator probe to make 90-degree contact with the measured object, and observe the indicator light change.
- It needs a little bit of force to stop it on the diamond surface and make full contact
- If unsuccessful, please repeat the second step
Test result analysis
- If lights >= 9 and have sounds, it is true diamond.
- If lights < 9 and no sounds, it is not diamond.
- If lights is 7 or 8, it is true crystal.
- If lights is 6 or 7, it is true jade.
- If lights is 4 or 5, it is glass.
- Don't test metal，Don't wear gloves.
- moissanite tester：moissanite is diamond.

I bought this because I was in the market for some diamond studs. Worked well on all my heirloom and costume jewelry, but my friends would rather stay in the dark with their own jewelry. I get it. 😆

It does work, but it is a little bit finicky as to lighting up all the lights when testing a known diamond of very good quality.

Not so sure how accurate it is bc it’s kinda confusing on how to work it. Too many do and don’t or it won’t test correctly.

Didn't work. Asked for a replacement. Still did not work. Tried it on two known diamonds - nothing. Touched it to metal - nothing

Bought this to test out a recent online jewelry purchase. Used this device to test diamonds, cubic zirconia, precious stones, and glass. Each one was identified correctly. So glad I bought this!

This diamond tester is fantastic. It is extremely accurate, and easy to use. You can use it to test any size diamond, and you know immediately if you have a real diamond. It can be used to detect real gems as well. This tester has been an amazing help in cleaning out our old family property. The accuracy of the diamonds I have tested with this has been verified by taking it to a jeweler afterward, which is what you should always do. This tester is more of a quick read to decide if going to the jeweler is worth doing. But I have yet to have a jeweler disagree with the results given by this tester.

I have always wondered about a couple rings and was super happy to verify that they are real with this diamond tester. It is interesting to see how quickly it can separate diamonds, sapphires and glass. Definitely take a look at the instructions because I was incorrectly using it at first.

Disappointed that battery with it was flat, didn’t know if machine wasn’t working or battery so couldn’t test it straightaway then I had to go buy a battery, new battery worked. So they provided a flat/faulty battery. Now I can test the machine
