Our illuminance meter can be connected to the mobile APP via Bluetooth. Not only can it be remotely controlled on the mobile APP, but the data can also be viewed and exported for analysis.

I mainly wanted to get a light meter for times I could slow down and check contrast levels in a scene. The first thing I noticed, is that the light meter only measures in lux and foot candles. I knew I would need to learn how to convert it to what made sense to me (f stops, shutter speed, iso, etc.). In doing so, I discovered that there are apps that turn your phone into a light meter with all the extra pieces I was looking for!After comparing different phone apps against this light meter, I was getting very similar lux readouts. This is good to see and gives me confidence. The benefit of having this device is that you are able to spin the light meter around whereas the phones is located on the top face by the camera. It took a bit of effort to track down the app this device connects with called "intelligent meter", but once I did it connected right up. It's useful to be able to read the numbers from afar if you mount this to a stand using the 1/4-20" screw on the bottom.Overall, I'm glad I purchased this tool to use for making videos. It's helpful in learning light levels and discovering contrast ratios that I prefer and if something doesn't seem right, how to dial it in. It also led to the discovery of other phone apps that I can use in combination with this as well.

This light meter did a great job measuring light intensity and color temperature.It actually has quite a few features as you can see from the product listing.....too many to go into on this review. But I did like the Bluetooth app that you can use remotely on your smartphone.Also like the fact that it has a swivel head that you can point in any horizontal direction, which comes in handy when you have this meter mounted on a stand.The only quirk I had with this meter was that it still used AAA batteries. I really wished it had come with built-in rechargeable batteries that you could recharge via USB-C cable.Overall you get quite a few features for such a low price.
