Easy to replace. Works well so far. Must be sure your issue is with the motor and not the physical valve in the pipe. We knew this from testing. Price could be a little better.

Used this replacement actuator [wanted same brand] to replaced failed unit. Takes about 5 minutes to replace [make sure wires are installed in same location] Turned boiler on and everything is operating properly.

We moved into our new home last September. In February, during the coldest weather we had, our boiler zone for the main floor was at 80 degrees when I woke up one morning for work. Mind you, I usually keep the heat at 67 during waking hours and 63 while we sleep. This was extremely unusual to have it this hot in our home. I checked this zone valve in our basement and sure enough, it was stuck. I ordered this and it was delivered next day. I made the swap, wired it up, now our heat works properly. I would only recommend this product if it already existing on your boiler. Product works as it should.

These are just the head, not the entire valve. Easy to install and save money in the long run.

If you have a zone that gets hot with thermostat turned off, then your zone valve is stuck OPEN.If you have a zone that does not get heat, then your zone valve is stuck CLOSED.When either happens, then you need to replace that zone valve. Zone valves do go bad in time.Best to replace all zone valves at the same time.Remember to turn off boiler/furnace first.Line it up with old one. Transfer wires exactly as on old one; replace old one with new one. Or hire a HVAC specialist and be ready to pay time & materials in excess of $1000.00 depending where you live. They will replace only those that are bad so they will be called back soon for the others. Do it yourself and do all at once, only one at a time, for years of peace-of-mind operation.

I'll try to keep this review updated to track the length of service of this unit. My heating system has 4 zones and this purchase now makes all 4 have been replaced with new zone valve heads.

I have 2 zones, and I have been replacing these every 8-10 years. Failure is usually because of a small relay/switch that stops working and fails to trigger / turn on the burner. The valve does work fine and opens for hot water to flow, but burner does not turn on.
