Bought a hunter fan with a separate light and fan wire switch. Once the new fan was wired the unit had to be powered on (fan) for the light to work (terrible design)Wired this up and it works great to give independent control of the light and fan (this unit has 2 black wires one for the hot, the other wire I connected both my fan and light wire to)

I installed these in 2 rooms and ditched the black remote. Works great, can be a little tricky on programming when 2 fans are close together.

It does the job. I wish there were more color options, it is kind of an off white which makes it hard to match plates for. The battery is odd too. Pairing was easy enough, and I've got too different rooms with no issues.

I needed a remote for the top of the steps, and put the remote that came with the fan at the bottom of the steps. No problem using two remotes. . This exceeded my expectations and I prefer it to the remote that came with the fan.Taking two screws out and pulling out the switch to replace the battery is no problem because the wires attached to the remote are very flexible and it puts no strain on the other wires in the box.

Attempted to pair this in-wall remote with Hunter fan that came with a standard Hunter remote that no longer worked.Paired it three times with the fan and got the same result: the light works fine but the fan on/off control shuts the fan off but does not turn it on. Strangely, the "Fan Low" symbol (⌄) when pressed will start the fan in low and if pressed a couple of times it will get to medium speed, but no further. The "Fan High" symbol (^) does nothing, except if I press it several times and then it turns the light off (right??).Fortunately, I have a setup with Bond/Alexa voice commands and that still works fine; just wanted the manual control for backup or when I haven't had my coffee yet and can't remember the command :).I've always bought Hunter products over the years, including new remotes, and this one is disappointing.

I have a Hunter Fan with SIMPLEConnect which means it requires constant power for the remote and the Wi-Fi, so the original wall switch becomes pointless now. I decided to replace it with this wall switch, but it seems counter-intuitive that this wall switch -- with connected wires to power -- will be running on battery. I am sure it is not too hard to design one that draws power from the connected power supply? Changing the battery will require switching off the breaker in the panel...just inconvenient and dumb, to say the least.Also the picture for this product is a little inaccurate. There is actually a blue LED light bar between the "Light" button group and the "Fan" button group, which will emit a rather bright blue light when any button is pushed. It would be better if they can tone down the brightness a bit or let the user adjusts the brightness.All the buttons are leveled so it could be difficult to find the right button if it is dark.The only good things about this are that it is easy to install (only the line, load and ground wires; no neutral), and it was easy for me to pair it to my fan.

It seems to be a crap shoot whether the fan button will actually start the fan or not. Light button works fine but hitting the down arrow instead of the fan button seems to start the fan. Disappointing as fan and switch are all made by the same company.
