Parents had to have their main waterline repaired and somehow red clay dirt sometimes appears in tap water. Bought these filters to see if red clay can be safely and effectively be filtered out without having to have a whole new water line dug and installed to house. These filters work like a charm without effecting water pressure, rate of flow, or distortion of water taste. Simply and easy installation and perfect fit.

It does what it is supposed to do, filter the water in our house. We have well water and red dirt, if we didn't use these filters all our clothes would be stained. It keeps the water so clean, it looks like fresh spring water coming down the mountain. I highly recommend these filters. And the cost is great.

Fits in the GE housing correctly, filters have two rubber gaskets to seal up properly, work very well for several months at a time on well water system to filter out sediment and helps a little with well water sulfur odor. Have used at least 8 of these filters over the last several years and the quality seems consistent. A little expensive, still much better than just the pleated style filter.

I have a well and it keeps sediment from getting to my house. Since I have been using this I rarely have clogged intakes or faucet heads. The carbon keeps the taste and smell neutral.

Received 4 water filters & found all in new condition, well packaged. While all 4 whole house filters are the same stock #s, I did not expect one box with 2 filters of one manufacturing type and the second box with 2 filters of another type...2 filters appear to have better blue-color end gaskets. Not sure why.
