This granite mortar and pestle looks great. I love the polished natural look of the stone. It works really well to grind up smaller portions or smaller herbs or spices. Grinding always brings out the flavor so much more. The size and shape make it easy to grip and use. This is the perfect gift idea.

It is a little bit small, so I sometimes break up my pill grinding sessions (for my cat's meds) to save wear and tear on my palms. But it is the right size for grinding pills, and basically indestructible. Kinda pretty, too.

This mortar and pestle is of surprising quality. I got it to grind dried up herbs from my garden. It does a superb job! I would gladly purchase this again!

Nice size, very attractive, nice and heavy doesn’t move around. At first when I was following the pre use instructions I tried to grind the rice, no luck at all, even my husband couldn’t grind it and he is no wimp. So I finished with cumin and garlic which worked fine. I was ready to send it back when I decided to try grinding g some fennel seeds, it worked great. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the pestal is a little short. I might order just a pestal for it that is longer, it’s just hard to get a good grip without grinding g your fingers.

my goal was to grind teaspoon quantities of seed spices and dried herbs for instant use in recipes in progress. this cute little thing delivers. forget rice in the seasoning directions, who would grind rice? 🤔 it made short work of fennel seeds and whole black pepper, about 30sec to fine powder. I appreciate the roughened working surfaces. I think that grips the seeds better. the exterior is to a satin polish, still elegant. you can get some more shine with a couple of drops of oil. others say it's hard to grip. indeed the base is too small to hold just that. even though my fingers get close to the pestle holding by the rim when working, it's not a problem. I'm keeping it 🧑â€ðŸ³ðŸ¸

I loved mine, but I not got to use it one time, then the crusher rolled off the table and broke from the fall. I try to use it, but it's hard because it is only a half sized crusher. Then i got tired of that and bought another kind.

The item is ok . I thought it was a bigger though , but it work perfect when I used it in the kitchen, it heavy and sturdy , looks great , but it slips when using on the counter I have which it tiled so I used a cloth underneath when using. It easy to use and for chip and not sure because it hasn’t yet but it seems to be sturdy. Over it’s a great product.

It really does the job. Right size for small family. Doesn’t take up much space. I thought it would smell due to the fact that it’s wood. Surprisingly, it doesn’t. Over all a good buy. I won’t give this as a gift unless the recipient is collecting mortar and pestle. On the other hand, I would like it if I received it as a gift.
